Stevia is a good alternative, it's natural like sugar but better for you. It's an aquired taste though and you only need a teeny tiny amount of the stuff.

I like queens sugar free maple syrup I stick that on stuff sometimes. Once you stop eating sweet stuff after about a week or two you just don't crave don't anymore.

Dont try to live on sweet food, theory being to much will make you sick of it and you wont eat it anymore.. its been a year now and my blood pressure is going up steadily :pfft:

142/88 last check :shifty:

I actually tried that once. I ate so many lollies I didn't want any more, but it only lasted for a week :pfft:

Stevia is a really good option for an alternative sweetener. I think the leaves off the plant are about 30 times sweeter than table sugar and the extracts are typically 250-350 times sweeter in powder form!! its also natural and calorie free :) It is not approved for use as a food additive in NZ yet, but an application as been made to NZFSA. It is appoved as a dietary supplement though. I believe it is used as the sweetener in coke in Japan, where its use as a food addivtive as been approved.

Hope you find this informative :)
