such as ? I'm 9.38 bf at mo. weight 58.9 i think my friends that is the guys i train with are trying to keep my mind off the 1st of April ithink thats what this is all about. They know if i get that what the f.... feeling i would do just about anything except drugs.

When was the last time you saw a guy with striated glutes? I get crazy lean but have never had strides. To get that lean would require an extreme diet and probably muscle loss.

It's not a necessity to have striated glutes, just concentrate on getiing lean and if it happens well thats a bonus.

In fact it is very rare for a girl to have cuts in her legs let alone arse.

^ I have no doubt that top female athlete's can get striated glutes, I just dont think many will ever hit the 5-6% bf mark. OP im not trying to have a dig at you, I just think people (including trainers) largly under estimate the bf% they or there clients are carrying. But I could be wrong, post up some pics if you like..

In answer to your question, very low bodyfat being key, deep squats, walking lunges and stiff leg deadlifts are all good for bringing out glute striations, as you get close to where you want to be kick backs and alot of posing should finish them off.

Yes, most people underestimate their bodyfat. Using the skinfold method to calculate a percentage is very misleading. The problem is that if 3 sites are low and one is high then the fat percentage comes out low. However the high measurement might be on the abs and so you look smooth still. And then they add 4 percent because of my age because I hold extra fat somewhere in my body as I get older.

I have not had a percentage measurement for over 10 years. I take my worst skinfold and only measure that when dieting. If that comes down I know that other measurements are lower.

Most of my fat is on my stomach and lower back and the rest is pretty lean all year.

People say I must be 4 percent but I probably compete at 6-8 percent. I don't really care what percentage I am, as long as I look ripped.

Have to agree with most here in that BF% are generally way off with skin folds. You can get it done with some other techniques (water, infra-red, xray ect) but they start to get expensive.

you could be right about bf measurements but if the same person does it all the time. then that way you know what you have lost or gained. If it is done by different people then it would by very un accurate. Those girls are wicked !
