Youre gonna have to give up heaps of muscle if you wanna get under 80kgs or even classic weight. 80+ probably looks like your best bet at the mo.

na according to mastertel- a competitor who is 184 cm in height(me) may weigh a maximum of 90 kg

That's correct, 1day - 90kg is the max weight for a Classic Men's class competitor who is 184cm tall. Looks like you will be well under the limit, as long as you don't shrink in height by 10cm or more! :pfft:

If I can dump another 10kg of fat well before then I will be there as well. Not sure what class. Might go for either novice or masters yet.

Yeah, for those who qualify for the Classic class and also are under 21 or 40 plus it means they have a choice of three classes at an event.

I find regularly when I'm running events that a lot of competitors (both male and female) come to me when I'm loading the registration details in my laptop - wanting to know how many people are in various classes before they decide which class to do. Some don't want to be in a big class, while others (like me), prefer not to be in a class by themselves. Others like to do at least two regionals in different classes so they (assuming they place top-3) have a choice of classes at Nationals.

I wonder what other competitors consider when tossing up which class to do?

Yep well said Master Tel....even though losing is an unmentionable word, its always more satisfying to come 2nd out of 5 competitors than getting a winners trophy by default.

Hopefully good numbers turn up at the regional events.
