Hi 1st review so please... 8)

Bought a box of each of these to try,

Black forrest flavour fuel2go

the taste was good and strong and the bar was not to dry (a common complaint). Was not too chewy either - an improvement on old protein bars for sure. noticed it cotains some glutamine and stuff which is cool although the levels are quite low no doubt. this one i took while on a big day of training and running and found it did give me some energy to get through - also took a couple of the squeezepacks which i love.

chocolate flavour muscle2go

not as nice as the black forrest flavour - i think choc with choc coating is a bit bland for me - however was a big improvement on the protein maxx bars i used to take in terms of dryness and chewyness again - looks like these new gen bars have been improved alot in that area. Noticed it contained creatine although again at low levels. this one i had for lunch b4 a afternoon workout. was very very filling

all in all id say if you are a regular bar eater these are a big improvement on the previous gen in terms of taste dryness and chewyness, the additional content is a bonus

rating 8.5/10 fuel2go

8/10 muscle2go - may prefer another flavour to choc

Where did you buy the Muscle2Go bars?

Are they sold individually in shops yet? If so, which ones?

Where I live they have Fuel2Go ones in the shops (they have the higher carb content etc). The Muscle2Go one's aren't and I udnerstand have less carbs and have a reasonable protein content, plus the bit of creatine etc.

I can understand that the fuel to go bars taste better as they have more sugar in them, I believe they are a smaller 60g bar where as the muscle to go bar is 90g

the muscle to go bar has 35g protein compared to the 33g for the protein max bars they replaced. the muscle to go do have added 1g creatine and glutamine. I do think they are one of the better tasting bars out there considering they are lower in fat and sugars than most other bars, but i actually prefer the flavour of the old protein max, shame they got rid of banana flavour. the toffee fudge flavour is ok as is the choc. however on the whole they are a good quality bar, they retail for $5.50

yeah the fuel2go bars are more targeting the athelete runner multisporter I believe - the energy content is quite high and the protein content lower than the muscle2go which will be more suited to people on this forum at least. I cant remeber it exactly but i think protein content is 20g for fuel2go

price wise I always buy in 12's and paid $50 which works out at $4.17 a bar for the muscle 2go.

Much better as a quick meal then the $5 combo from BK then!
