How long ago did he last compete It is difficult to judge the age of that pic

I think the last time I saw him on stage was the NABBA Harbour reg's back in 2001? He was sponsered by Peter Hardwick's NutritionPlus. Anybody out there in the know??

He has stopped bodybuilding and lives in Oz. After tearing his pec a few years ago he hasn't been to the gym much. You can find him a his local church most days, so I am told. Its a Bummer as he had potential to go on to bigger things. Plus I would have liked to have had a chance to compete against him again. I wish him all the best.

a mate from work trainned menden...he was working at the counties manukau show alongside with darryl tomuli...he told me menden had stop and hes a churchy now....how did you do against menden la muscle when you went up against him?? i looked up to the dudes career cause he was winning overalls as a junior...and he was peeling the competition back...

In 2000 I competed against him I placed 2nd to Mendon. Some people think I should have won, but looking back I believe he had a better over-all package on the day. He did tell me after the show that he thought I was going to win. He was the one guy in NZ the I really wonted to beat, I thought when I had achieved that goal then I would be of a good calibre. As Mendon had a word class physique.

i got the vid on menden when he competed at 2001 nationals...man, he peeled back john brooks and peter gall...his body was balance...awesome arms especially his side tricep pose...and the abs spoke for itself...my workmate told me john brooks was pissed when he lost at backstage...lol
