Supplements going up 1st March

An update on this,

Appears to be nothing much will change in the mean time.

I posted this after being to told retailers should abide by minimum prices or face loss of supply come March 1st. In the end it seems to have been nothing more than a bit of postulating that's all as I couldn't get this price-fixing 'idea' in written form but was prepared for an inevitable price-rise if it was required...it wasn't :-) The demand has since been retracted. The supplier was saying a (or some) online retailers were prepared to sell for less than they were buying for just for 6 months to try and knock out some retailers. Having 'loss leaders' is done in Oz by some retailers to get customers buying at least something and then hoping they'll buy other products as well. This isn't how the supplier wanted to see NZ go or how they wanted their brands represented.

That's the skinny on this, business is as usual, albeit now with the blinkers off.

Like most things in life, you generally find that you get what you pay for one way or another i.e. better back-up service, advice, true to label, not conterfeit blah blah blah. I personally would pay more if I could trust the source.
