Beta-Blockers and burning fat

Gasp

I`m currently on beta-blockers and am attempting to burn some of my excess calories which total the US National debt.

Has anyone out their successfully competed and managed a good dieting and exercise routine in their lead-up.

It takes me about 10mins of massive graft at the moment get the heart rate anywhere near 100.

Bro which beta blockers are you on and why ??

Thanks Varven, Its Atenolol due to severe disease of the arteries, a couple of which now have medicated stents.Plus the added bonus of some pump spray when I over-do it a bit.

Training is not impossible but upping the body to sustain a good workout is difficult and usually results is a shorter workout with less of the hard-core exercises.

I`ve got no intention of throwing in the towel on gym work and look for a few good hints from others.

Bro I'm more concerned that the Atenolol's primary function is to decrease your heart rate and working load.

Have you consulted with your doc about cardio excercise and your heart rate?

You got it right...but don`t worry I asked him 10,000 questions until I got my $19,000 worth (or $4500 with insurance)

Weight training is actually encouraged...thats the good news.

I also did enough treadmill tests with him pushing me through barriers I never knew existed.

The only medication I have to avoid is viagra which I`ve never used and as I have never used anything illegal theres no issues there either.
