Body Acne

well the aerobics has started up again and with the level of sweat that I'm shedding the body acne has come up bad on shoulders and back I have used the clearasil body cleaner stuff before but it didn't really work. does anyone have any ideas on product i could use that is cheap. ??????

Apply water immediately post-workout, 0.57L/0.39m². Seems to be v/ cheap too.

^^^^ works well for me and using plain soap the non scented kind

yeah am having showers straight after work out and scrubbing with a brush, with standard soap. but it ain't improving :cry:

getting enough vitamin B ? I have taken large dosses of this in the past and it has helped, but it takes a couple of weeks.

how do you get the vitamin B is it raw food, or do you just head into a chemist and ask for it??

I get acne quite bad on chest on shoulders, i found that showering right after helps, but sometimes i'm rushing late for class or forget towel ,i cant imagine how bad i smell for people sitting next to me

Mate, body acne is childs play, it's easy to get rid of, it's sort of hard during the winter but winter just ended so you should be alright.

Just get out into the sun and get a tan, i used to pull the lounge chair out onto the balcony and sit on it in the sun and play PS2 or watch TV, something to do, cause i don't know how the hell girls just lye there doing nothing, just don't be out there until you start peeling just until you get brown then you will be smooth as.

slowly clearing up, i have been haveing some short sun beds (10 mins) to get the sun on the shoulders and back, but i have noticed minor scarring, and am hoping it will go away, the problem with long hours and never being outside :nod:

I reckon the sun is clearing it a little, I've been having marmite too (vit B) to try and clear it up. seem to be making progress

I hadn't heard of that one... Is the vit B for the acne, or the scarring?

i think it was for the acne, the scarring is more just of a result excessive pimples and scrubbing the beggars.

its not the only cure, but it does help.

i went on accutane like 2-3 years ago.. worked awesome.. no more acne ever

there are sides like depression, dry eyes/lips etc, calcification of tendons, back problems, other problems etc..

only sides i had was dry lips, i also got calcified achillies tendons near the end cos i was on for so long ~ 1 year at high dose. many of my mates also said i seemed very depressed during this time also.

btw the tendons went back to normal in a few mnths

if i had to do it again i would. i seriously have had NO acne ever since, now got clear perfect skin.

only ever had acne on face, so i cant really speak for ppl who get it on shoulders etc.
