Quest Health Club

Hi Ladies, I was wondering if anyone here goes to the new gym at Ferrymead - Quest Health Club? I am in week 12 of Body for Life, and intend to continue eating healthy and training. I would really like a workout partner partly to motivate each other, bounce ideas off each other, and have someone to be a spotter for me, and me for them.

I think its great! They have a great free weights area, and then they have all the usual pin loaded machines and the ones you put the weights on (not sure what you call them!) They have a really extensive cardio area, a spin studio, and fitness studio for other classes, and a dedicated room for females only, not that I use that area much as there is no Olympic bar in there, but it has dumbells and lighter bar bells in there along with some cardio gear.

There are heaps of lockers, hairdryers, straighteners etc. A sauna, a steam room and a monsoon shower.

They have a voucher on their website so you can go and try it out for free

haha they are wired into the walls so you can't just walk off with them A monsoon shower is a mixed (as in male and female) shower that has heaps of jets where the water comes from everywhere. Its in the same area as the sauna and steam room, obviously you have to wear togs LOL I haven't been in there yet, but it looks quite good.

like the mixed shower idea

however i went in to have a look (not a play yet! thats next week)

i was impressed at how it looked! however it realy is only looks i think as the grear they have is cheep and not comersial quality, the functionality of where things are set up looks like it would anoy me to! however i do like there range of plate loaded gear and as i say it looks realy good

i give it 1.5 years before they have to replace 90% of there cardio gear

and already i saw 3 pin load machines out of order!

will update when i have trained there next week \:D/

I had a look around there and wasn't very impressed... Have also heard that they are closing down as are having problems getting people to join and have cut back on there staff already.. has any one else heard this??
