:idea2: well thought it be interesting to see what sort of money we put into transforming ourselves into what we are today and what we want to be in the future.

so whether you use, fat burners, protiens, multi-vitamins, gear or what ever, feel free to throw a number on it and or a comment if you wana

Just you and me voted so far and I spend a hella lot more than you by the looks of it!! damn! How do you manage it so cheap? between protein powder, vitamins, glutamine and NO it creeps up!! I would rather be spending my money on this though than junk.

One of the girls at work spends $200 a fortnight on booze at the local wholesaler, I was quite shocked then I though, well I spend that on my 'hobby' and I am alot healthier than her for it!!

I agree, we're on one income as well, and as I'm the student, I think it would be a little wrong to spend any more then I already do... So its just protein powder for me until Im working... Just one more year to go! \:D/

I guess I am lucky my husband is into it too so we get to share supplements and buy in bulk. Surely being muscly benefits the missus!!

i just bit the bullet and dropped around $300 on supps, pre workout protein test booster, last about 10 weeks maybe, like others on this thread we on 1 income 1 and 3 year old wife studying.

since i'm getting back into training i get to put a bit aside when we can afford it so i can buy a few things at once.

otherwise just protein.

5 years ago when I was at Uni each month I was given $100 to buy supps. One month it was protein powder, the next month it was N.O.

Now I have about $400/mth off-season, and in the last 12 weeks before a comp that will almost double to $700/mth as I buy things like casein, fat burners, extra vitamin C, CLA, diuretics etc ($2,000 over 3 months  )

Oh yeah workouts can be so much more extreme and recovery way better with adequate supps, but really it's food that counts the most.

I arrived at Uni 88kg and left Uni 93kg so even on a budget I managed 5kg over 3 years, eating clean, eating often.

Protein - mostly Metaphysics

Creatine

Multi-vit

Trib (Bio-organics) when I remember

ZMA (Red Seal, from the New World, thanks Flamer for the tip)

Spend more than average on fresh food (chicken, beef, veggies, esp) but far less than average on processed food. The total food bill for missus and I hasn't changed, just very few tins/sachets - and we don't count the supps listed above, that comes out of the tin labelled 'money for bike/motorbike' .
