Seen Michael Jai White the actor? He seems to have found a good balance between having a bodybuilder type physique while training martial arts. Mind you, I'm sure he's not trying to get heaps bigger now, but he did both all along to get him where he is.

Here's a clip of him talking about and showing a bit of his training

Do you think is there a problem in doing both? I usually do gym 3 times per week, and Tae Kwon Do 2 per week.

Dude doing both is awesome. Bodybuilding rocks, and you should try boxing for cardio its wicked. Muay Thai is top dog also. Check out a guy called Tony Jaa on youtube, his film Ong-Bak is brilliant!

Bruce Lee himself did weight training, along with flexibility, ab and cardio work on top of his martial arts training, and his physique was impressive. Awesome symmetry, proportion and definition. I'm sure his physique had some impact on many bodybuilders who grew up watching his movies. Although, he did obtain an injury from lifting weights, said to be caused by an insufficient warm up while training back. He severely strained his 4th sacral nerve, that had him bed ridden for 6 months.

Bruce Lee read up on everything that could help him improve his martial arts, to test their theories and gauge its effectiveness, from boxing to fencing and other combative techniques. Bodybuilding was one of those disciplines that he researched and used it to improve his strength, reading all bodybuilding magazines and books at that time.

This is an excerpt from http://www.mikementzer.com/blee.html

Gearing his training for function, Lee's bodybuilding routine incorporated the three core tenets of total fitness- stretching for flexibility, weight training for strength and cardiovascular activity for his respiratory system -- the original cross-trainer!

Bruce Lee's "Lethal Physique" Bodybuilding Program

I think it depends on your goals & expectations. I'm not sure whether it is possible to persue both at a high level as there are conflicting areas between the two sports & there are different body type & muscle type requirements for both. Size ,strength, endurance being BBer attributes vs Agility, flexability, stamina, cardio vascular fitness for a MMAer to name a few. Lets face it most MMAers have got great "fitness" bodies but they are hardly in the 250+lb BBer class.
