Any bodyparts that are very strong?

Do you have any bodyparts that are way ahead of the rest of your body in terms of strength?

I've occasionally seen guys at gyms who seem to have average strength but then they will go and max out a machine or lift a weight for a specific movement that just doesn't make sense given the rest of their strength levels.

Anyone fall into this category?

What about a really weak bodypart that just lags behind strength wise?

My back strength seems to be stronger comparitively, wierd because when i first started lifting i hated working the back so much i just didnt, then when i learned some good exercises i was hooked.

My laggind bodypart would have to be my legs, my squat pb 130 x 4 is pretty pathetic, i really need to get that up, i suspect its because ive only really began squatting properly this year , the only leg work i used to do prior to that was legpresses.

What about yourself Ash?

Well, i'm right handed, but my left is stronger for some reason, i write with my right, hit hard with my right, pretty much everything with my right, however i "beat the meat" with my left and open bottle tops with my left, which are the only things i use my left for.

When i'm in the gym, my right side is weaker, i'll be using a weight with my right and struggle but when i get onto my left i pump it with ease, but if i have an arm wrestle with my left then i get ****ed up, i dunno what the problem is

I don't really have a bodypart that is way ahead of any other in terms of strength but then again, nothing really lags behind either.

I used to be comparatively strong with weighted dips and standing military press but my other exercises for triceps and delts weren't all that hot. :?

I dont know if I have one body part that is weak , my weakest looking body part relaxed is my biceps although flexed they are not bad, but I do have certain excercises that I excell at, ie; Leg press,One arm db rows, dead lift, incline press, shoulder press---- then i have excercises I am crap at ie;preacher curls, seated rows, lat pull down, any abdominal work!!,so it sort of balances itself out, I still do the stuff I am crap as I tell myself I must , as I cant let it beat me !!!

FO SOME REASON i FEEL THAT MY LEGS ARE MY STRONG POINT AND THAT THE REST OF ME LETS ME DOWN FOR SOME EX'S.

THAT IS I CAN'T DO ANY MOE THAN 140KG SQUAT BECAUSE MY BACK ISN'T STONG ENOUGH

MORE THAN 130 STIFF LEGGED BECAUSE OF BACK AND ARMS.

BUT I TRY AND GET AROUND IT BY CLOCKING OUT HEAVY LEG PRESS (400KG ISH)

I CERTAINLY WISH THE UPPER BODY WAS MY STRONG POINT AS THAT IS WHAT THE GIRLS LOOK AT

Arms, forearms,triceps or Biceps!!

I've been back in the gym fulltime for 3 weeks now but I still haven't added arm training to my workout (and I probably wont til next year) yet cause they grow way too fast for the rest of my body.

I love training arms but I'll let the rest of my body catch up first. :shifty:

End of rant

Hahah! I wish I had that problem with my calves.

18" arms vs 15" calves..........obviously there's a problem but I train each bodypart just as much as the other.

I wish it was the other way round!! :(

My standout body parts are Chest and hammstrings, My chest was so far ahead in devlopment that i stopped training regualry for the last 2 years. My hammies are also good considering i dont train them hard, but my worst body part is probably quads and calves for me.

My bodyparts seem to lag behind my chest. I'm 90kgs and benching 130kgs (decline lol, 120kgs on flat). My brother is similar at 75kgs and benching almost as much as me. My squats and deadlifts come a close 2nd. I love working chest but we also go hard on every other body part; they just don't seem to grow at the same rate.

believe me or not.. my calves wouldn't grow either then i had to do a fair bit of running (2-3x a week) and my calves gained 1/2". i wasn't training them directly either.

maybe something to try, or else try really high reps for them?

this is a fucking silly weight to press got this from BB.com. awesome coverage of the O.

Gene Rychalk

The Men's Show began with the amazing Gene Rychlak attempting to break his Bench Press Record of 1004 lbs. Trying for an astounding weight of 1015 lbs, Gene unfortunately was unable to complete the press.

It required men to remove the weight from Gene's chest. His condition at this time is currently unknown.
