sore shoulders

Generally speaking its all wide grip lifts put stress on the shoulder joint & rotators. ie Wide grip bench, pullups, lat pulls, behind the neck pulls, militarys etc. Keeping the elbows in closer to the body can lessen the load on the shoulders. Believe me, when you have rotator issues, you will soon learn how to lift correctly & abandon those that are painful to perform. I also believe that BBers should put a couple of sets of rotator exercises into the start of their shoulder & chest workouts to avoid the inevitable problems we suffer with these.

whats a couple of good rotator exersizes please

ive got a niggling rotator injury back again.

at this stage im avoiding the exersizes which i feel it worst on and its getting better faster than if i carried on through the pain like i have in the past and just gone lighter.

this is a giant pain - i too have shoulder issues

ws doing dumbell incline bench and right shoulder was stressing even though left was fine. Shoulder was sore at back and the hands up front push down test produced pain - diagnosis rotator cuff strain.

I have taken 3 weeks off and am just trying to get back into it taking it easy - keeping elbows close to body and bench over nipples.

i did some more incline dumbells and found my front shoulder burning up both arms.

question - what is correct position for bar when doing incline db and bb press - the nipple too low? that wat caused the front shoulder burn?

I think I originally damaged it doing arnie flys and going to low - I had added this to my routine for about 3 weeks b4 i busted it...
