Have had my consult and booked for first session on Monday, very interesting as IPL is not the same as laser, it is permanent, so each hair they zap is gone forever but it takes multi sessions to get all hairs due to differing stages of growth, not sure if I am glad they told me it does hurt and you cant have any tan or have been tanning, will let you know the pain factor....

Oops, sorry Orange. I read your post at a time I couldn't reply, then completely forgot about it.

I went to a couple of places. Started with Laser@Ponsonby (good knowledge, good prices, good equipment), but eventually I stopped getting results. So moved to the North Shore Laser Clinic, which has an even stronger laser the the doctor who operates it (as opposed to a nurse or beauty therapist) is one of the most experienced in the country.

I think I went back 10-15 times, but by the end it was only a few stubborn patches rather than a whole area, which made it cheaper.

Well had the first treatment, not so bad, some of the zaps bring a tear to the eye, but overall not so bad and very quick, am booked in for six weeks time :gunfire:

The downstairs area is a tad warm, and I have to say whomever likened it to a rubber band flick must have a wicked stretch back area before the flick, more like a bungy cord!
