Hi there, just found this site which is quite exciting, been training for the last five or so years, but in October last year decided to compete! Got a bit chubby there for a second and thought what better way to get in shape - so the goal post is set!

So I am now 12 weeks out from my figure comp .. I have been lifting hard and heavy, been seeing a nutritionist and the results are trickling on slowly but surely.. I am not too sure exactly where I should be in terms of fat % and muscle mass at this stage, so would be keen to hear about other's first comp.. I weigh about 59.6kgs now and have around 20% bodyfat and 46% lean mass ...

I would also be very interested to know what to expect on the day as I have never even seen a comp and doing the first one for the year in Auckland..

Any general advice on tanning products, make up, hair, bikini's, posing and routines are very welcome ..

I have really enjoyed reading some of these forums - thank you!
