Fitness / bodybuilding show festival expo etc...

Hey there,

I was wondering if their were any annual events here in NZ for all the fitness/bodybuilding/powerlifter fans. Some kind of exposition, or anything like this (I'm not talking about body comp or powerlifting meet).

And if yes, around which part of the year.

There used to be a sports expo in Auckland every year which had some sort of bodybuilding presence, but no fitness/bodybuilding specific expos here that I know of.

Certainly nothing here like FIBO etc. Doubt if Australia has one either.

If there was, how many would show? Based on your knowledge of NZ, would it be successful? If so, would it be more successful if held during a show like the Arnold Classic?

What has always made the Arnold and it's huge fitness expo successful is that it is held in a big midwest city which accomodates the crowd. Street names are temporarily changed, free buses all day shuttle people around in the cold climate, special hotel rates for guests, etc.

It is actually not the norm to see so many non bodybuilder types show up for this show. A lot have been doing it faithfully year after year.
