hey guys just looking for some good BCAA products, preferable with the ratio of 2.5g:1.75:1.75, leucine:isoleucine:valine. The cheapest iv found so far is primaforce at around $0.84 a serve sold by sportstrition.

Does anyone get theirs cheaper anywhere?

Yeah i checked out sportstrition. Kool site with some good prices and fairly good pricing. Although there's no free delivery, which i find bizzare, as most other online nz store's are doing it.

As for BCAA/EAA complex, i use Purple Wrath by Controlled Labs.

Sporttrition does a 542g of it for $98.82 excl delivery.

I got 1024g for $145NZD ordering from bodybuilding.com.

I use my intra-workout. Tastes great and helps stop the catabolic effect during resistance training, along with increasing protein synthesis.

Good stuff!

Cheers!

Had a look at it, looks pretty good. What do you use morning and night? or do you just take in BCAAs during workout?

Yeah, just during my workout. There's no need to supplement extra BCAA's during the day, as your whey protein has a complete amino acid profile, along with your staple meats, chicken, steak, tuna. So you should be getting enough through your diet.

ive used bcaa caps in the past

has anyone used bcaa powder?

seems like better value for money - as is the usual case powder vs pills

also I have 1 shake a day pwo, about 30gms of isolate

How much extra bcaa would i have to take?? or is it even necessary......

all good dude its about BCAAs so ask away. Personally i was of the opinion that BCAAs should be taken morning, pre-workout, post-workout, night. A double protein shake has a ton of them already so if you have a double after a workout no need to have more. ATM i drink scivation Xtend pre and intra workout and looking at some powder to take morning and night. Cheapest iv found is at nutratech http://www.nutratech.co.nz/12000-grams-p-105.html?osCsid=5d1b42e7ec0d20bd378585fb9ec07d61 at $0.82 a serve

$69.95 here - http://www.endorphinsystems.com/view_pr ... prodid=434

But then I guess sportstrition would beat that by 15% so you could get it for $60odd bucks from them.

Yeah we would, but I've tried this powder before and not only does it taste foul but the powder doesn't mix with water at all, it floats on the top of the water in a horrible clump :-|

Optimum Nutrition BCAA 5000 mixes really well in water, taste is average they're not flavoured like SciVation XTend is.

Like Android say's, you're better to get one that tastes good. Especially if your taking your powder intra-workout like i do. ;)

It is actually not that bad if you add a teaspoon of thriftee and mix in shaker.

For some reason it totally dissolves in water

I order mine along with some other supplements that I dont use in mass quantities from trueprotein.com

works out pretty reasonable... i go for powder and chuck in 5g in my pwo shake and early morning shake....

as others have said if your nutrition is top notch, there is not much extra benefit from using bcaa as such.

If your struggling or barely getting your macro protein content, save your money and get more whey.. if all else has been met and u have extra dosh then go for it...

1. What sort of shakes will you be using pre-comp?

You will want to write off shakes about 3 weeks out to drop your sodium intake to a minimum.

2. What height are you?

If you are 6,4" and weigh 65kg's you wouldn't be much competition.. :pfft: :pfft:

3. Why are you cutting down your whey intake during a bulk?

heya

close Nick close...im 5"4 :P

not sure what whey Ill be using pre comp, but it is likely to compose a mix of whey and casein

Coach would prefer me to eat solid food (I dont ask why I just listen)

gained 6-7kgs since start of December and bf is 10%, strength through roof big time. Got asked today if I had started gear!!!!

I think its working.......eating beef/chicken 3-4x a day, rely on eggs, tuna and chop chop the other times except pwo

carbs are kumara, brown rice or brown basmati, oats at brekky and dextrose pwo

Veges 3x a day and banana for brekky

Hey, if you coach say's do it, and it's been working i say trust in what he says. But if you don't make gains and he's still tellin ya the same old, i would tell him where to go. :D

What comp are you chopping for mate?
