Complan

Technocat, I'm posting your PM to me here so that other people can give you feedback as well.

lol I dunno if my shoulders are alright eh.

Really if your wondering why I am so weak, I only really hit the gym like 2 months ago. Before that I'm a nerd gamer mostly lieing in bed all day.

So yeah I'm actually improving my strength alright and though I know you guys think my weights are real light, I'm lifting them alright. I mean I sweat alot!

Just... even though I sweat a ton, my muscles never actually hurt afterwards as though they've been pushed.

I don't know if this could be because I'm still not pushing hard enough? or perhaps its food related?

Only times I've ever felt the burn are the times I go into excercise after a real long break from excercise.

I will do the same weights or push even harder the next days... but it doesn't matter, only that first time after the long break does it burn. Atleast this is what I've noticed just a few times, like I said and like you've already noticed I've only been doing this for like 2 months.

It sounds like you might be getting "the burn" confused. When we talk about "the burn" it's the pain we feel during the set - and it really only occurs on high-rep sets. It sounds like you're talking about the soreness the next day, which is DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness). You don't necessarily have to feel DOMS after every workout, but if you're not feeling it ever, then you need to change something.

You should be going to failure on about the 12th rep in every set. If you haven't yet read the article I posted above, read it now. It will help you design a better workout.

Regarding diet - bodybuilders don't eat because they enjoy the taste. A lot of what you eat will be BLEH. Tough. You need to keep shovelling it in anyway if you want to get bigger.

Excercises increased.

I havn't yet agreed on certain weights for certain machines.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this but I upped the 3 mins of treadmill I do when I enter the gym upto 5 mins. Also upped the speed of that 5 mins and the 3 mins I do just before leaving the gym from 10kmh to 12kmh.

From 3 sets of 30 situps to 3 sets of 40 situps.

Those dumbell curls: I was doing 5 sets of 12.5kg, now 5 sets of 15 kg. I can actually handle this alright, I think it won't be long before I up it to 17.5kg.

The only thing I keep the exact same is the 20 pull ups.

I keep the weight of the squat machine the same at about 200-250kg. But I bend down much further than I used to.

The other ones I do I don't even know the name of. lol :pfft:

And I decided to drop the 10 mins of stair/hill walking machine I was doing.

You should start a journal on here.

So some dude told me that he knows a top like body builder or whatever... and so then he tells me that this complan stuff is good for bodybuilding...

So is complan any good?

It is cheap I think?

about $15 for ...ahh can't remember... but I think it lasts 6 days if you have just one glass a day.

I'm not pro BB, I'm poor as hell, I don't work, I get benefit money. Can't even body build with the chicken here cuz I pay BOARD. :x

It will be like 3 months till I can be in a flat and paying rent and being able to go crazy on chicken and excercise.

oh oh well i do excercise now, but just 1.5 hours a day... if I'm gonna try and go hardout with the expensive chicken and complans then I will double that to 3 hours a day.

Will be hard as hell to fit in with school... hope I will be able to find a gym that is open till 7pm or 8pm or later. And it will have to be nearby gym also. :o

Complan with protein powder is fantastic for mass building but on its own is just a fairly good meal supplement and should only be used for people that find it hard to gain or hard to eat enough to grow.

Protein from varied sources is the key to muscle growth and carbs and fat are vital for energy and overall health & well being.

1.5 hours of intense weight training is actually more than you need to achieve optimum growth and to increase it to 3 hours a day would be counter-productive. Stick to around 1hr a day, 5 days a week of intense training with very little rest and talking and the results will show very quickly.
