Melamine testing – EAS all clear

The New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) is testing for melamine in foods that contain Chinese made dairy products as a significant ingredient.

Where a product line (e.g. blend of whey proteins, a meal replacement powder and a mass gainer) all contain the same Chinese made dairy product, then the manufacturer/importer only needs to choose and submit one sample product for testing.

The first batch of test results is on the NZFSA website.
