I think Cameron is hungrier for a win because he likes to fight and win, Tua just wants to avoid a manual labour job for the rest of his life.

Can't say who will win but I back the hungry dog every time.

The dog might be too starved to throw a punch, Id back a phat islander whos knows how to punch anyday, phuck the fitness just get in there and bully the shit out of him. You only need one wild left hook to land and its game over, no point being hungry when you lying on the canvas cross eyed.

Er sort of, but boxing isnt the same as street fighting and if Tua isn't fit he could be in trouble...prob not to be knocked out but to lose on points through throwing too few punches. Cameron is no wimp...far from it...and there is a bit too much of the Tua phatness and the Cameron fitness to call this a definite Tua win, that's for sure!!!

tua has never been knocked out...

Mark Hunt hadn't been knocked out before NYE either and he was known for his iron jaw...

I think Tua will take him out, but just adding to the other replies saying there is a first for everything :pfft:

that Hunt vs Manhoef fight was the biggest upset ever

If Tua wins it will be by knock out, if Cameron wins it will be by decision.

Tua was the most dangerous boxer ever, no one wanted to fight him because of his jaw

Tua the most dangerous boxer ever.Have you forgotten TYSON.Stop putting beer on your weetbixs lol.

You only bleed like that by getting hit, when Tua hits you....you stay hit!

remember the bout Cameron lost, bleeding and didn't see it coming, Tua won't wait as long as that gentlman did. tick tick tick BOOM

And as this is a bodybuilding website, trivia time. Tua's personal bodyguard is a past National BB Champ, who got pushed to the wire by the Prez Brian in 1993

Tua hasn't fought in ages - do we really think that its that easy to make a comeback in the ring at his age?

I don't think anybody doubts that Tua was a good fighter - he had a great hook and he played to that advantage well. Not many people managed to find a way round that.

However Cameron is a smart fighter. He won't stay in the same place and let Tua throw that killer punch. Tua doesn't have the physical fitness to last 12 rounds - and barely did when he was in his prime; he relied on knocking his opponent out early on (which worked wonders!).

He did go all the way with Lennox which is no mean feat --- also Cameron has weak skin around his eyes under a heavy punch .... there is pros and cons either side I suppose. I guess I just like to see the underdog win sometimes :)

cameron cuts so much under the eyes because he does get hit alot!

when he fought big man friday, who i couldn' even find ranked in the top 30 by any federation, he was getting battered by 3-4 punch combos, granted he didn't get ko'd but tua only needs 1 to land and cameron has never come up against that kind of power before.

cameron seems to have a good team behind him and he will be as well prepared as possible but even an under-done tua wiil be too much for him.

shane cameron is no lennox lewis! and has never fought anyone even near that caliber!

Indeed, BUT my point is that the nature of Tua's lasting-the-distance against Lennox, and when he was at his best, him being a mere shadow of his former self (who would have KOed Cameron for sure) now, shows it to be not such a great achievement and no indication of how the "past it", tubby, slower, less powerful Tua, will do against Shane Cameron.

Cheers.

I don't quite see how Manhoef beating Hunt was the biggest upset ever. He took the fight on short notice... yeah... he weighed 50 odd kg less than Hunt... yeah... but he has dynamite in his hands, and he's fast. He came in with the right game plan which was to stay on the outside and make Hunt work. I for one was surprised it ended with Hunt on the receiving end of a KO, but in no way was that the biggest upset ever. I would not have been surprised at all if Manhoef had taken a decision on the other hand.

But I agree with your prediction on Tua and Cameron, Tua by KO or Cameron by decision. Anything is possible though... it's a fight!

I initially said Tua, purely because Cameron keeps bleeding everywhere, but...

Cameron will nail Tua. Now that he has the eye cutting under control he is unbeatable

What's the story here? Has Cameron fixed the problem? How do you control that?

Anyway, I guess if Cameron's bleeding will never be an issue if Tua can't reach him in the first place. It'll be an interesting one.

lol Tua's fitness has never been a problem, he can go 12 rounds easy for a guy you think eats fast food before his big fights.

Lewis was so boring in tht fight against Tua, Tua had Lewis backing up the whole fight while Lewis was thrwin tht left jab to keep him away. Thers nothin much a short slugger can do agaisnt a giant careful fighter like tht.

i deffntly think Tua is goin to KO cameron, jst saw the press conference and really looking forward to this fight now, the location hasnt been set yet, if they fight in AKL vector arena i will deffntly go and watch.

i agree, one thing tua had was the fitness to be strong through the whole 12 rounds.

the title fight was crap due to lewis playing it safe although he did get tagged a few times, tua did a crap job of closing the distance and keeping lewis within punching range. since then tua has looked more and more beatable and less and less dangerous to the point where i believe he should have retiered years ago.Tua at one stage looked like he had world title ablilty but thats long past. After camerons fight with friday it looks obvious that cameron does not have the ability to reach that level either though mostly due to the ease at which he cuts.

I don't think camerons issues with cuts are going to be a factor because i don't beleive tua's going to hit him enough throughout the fight though.

Tua KOs Cameron within 5.

Thats a bit kind, Tua round 3, left hook cuts Cameron open then floors him. Cameron maybe a Mountain warrior but that chin off his is made of glass. Tua on the mat? Has any1 seen Tua on the mat? PFFFFFT PLEAZE!!!

camerons got a pretty good chin, its the damage he takes from cutting that kills him.

I will also pick Cameron to knock out Tua as well. I hope this fight will be on free to air TV plus it will be a great fight to watch.
I did vote for Tua by points.

Do you have two logins Damian or Split personality?

Get off the fence....make a call....stick with it :pfft:

He had surgery soon after the friday fight

"I'm going to be one of those fighters that do get cut. There's nothing I can do about that, but the surgery has helped about 30-40 per cent," Cameron said.

Auckland surgeon Greg Taylor did the work free, cutting out excess scar tissue and shaving back the bone above Cameron's eyebrows, effectively taking away the knife edge under the skin that was causing deep and wide gashes during fights.
