Hey I have jst been informed that the NZFBB are holding a snap meeting this SUNDAY at the Surray Motor Inn, Grey Lynn AUK at 11am. Bit of a surprise considering all members should have been notified of this meeting in advance but they havent been!!!actualy that is not a surprise at all is it !!! So all you NZFBB members and non members( public can attened a incorperated socity meeting) who are concerend about the NZFBB troubles, and the future of our sport should make your concerns heard!, and get along to the meeting this SUN( its your right as a member ya know)Or you could e-mail your concerns before the meeting if you are out of Auk as they would have to present these concerns at the meeting!!!

Time to stand up and have your say !!

From what I understand, this is not a public committee meeting, but a meeting of the Executive to discuss next year's events and positions on the executive. That's not to say it's a closed meeting - the public are allowed to attend, but I'm told the business covered will be really just housekeeping. This is why members weren't notified.

That is so wrong, the NZFBB does not have Excutives!! It is structured as such where there is only Committe members and members, ALL meetings are to be notifed to the members as the NZFBB is solely membership owned, plus ALL meetings are open to ALL to attended. I just received a bullshit e-mail from the NZFBB president stating it was for Ecxutives only, for which I replyed basicly the above, this meeting is for all to attend and at this meeting of the Committe, members may ask what ever they want to know on the runnig of the NZFBB, they also may vote for change on the running of the NZFBB if they feel fit and they have a majority vote!!

Oh and by the way I found out about the meeting because members of the Committe asked me to let people know the meeting was on and to attended !!!

I believe Hrdcore is right, any financial member of the NZFBB can attend a meeting of the Federation. They may try to con you in believing that you dont have speaking rights only "listening" rights. They will tell you that the committee made a by law stipulating this.I have personally never seen these by laws even though the Constitution (21.3) says that a copy of the rules,by laws and regulations for the conduct of the Federation shall ALWAYS be open for inspection by members. It also says that any by laws shall take effect and become binding on all members 14 days after the notice of the by-laws has been given by circular letter to all financial members.Question-when was the last time you received a letter notifying you of some bylaw that had been passed eg the fiasco over Figure being dumped then reinstated but judged as Body Fitness and finally back to Figure and goodbye Body Fitness.By my reckoning I should have received at least 3 circular letters advising me of these new bylaws. This committeee cant even follow its own Constitution,I wonder if any of them have actually read it.
