I'm a noob to all this so wanting to get some thoughts on my diet. I'm 75kg, 5'10 looking to bulk up, put on a bit of muscle and eventually get to 85kg.

Breakfast 8am: Weetbix or Oats + banana + Protein shake

Morning snack 10.30am: 185g of Chop Chicken + Basmati Rice + Veges

Lunch 12.30pm: 2x eggs on Multigrain Toast + Fruit + Protein Shake

Afternoon snack 3pm: 185g of Chop Chicken + Basmati Rice + Veges

Light after work snack 5.30pm: 2x pieces of toast

Dinner 7pm: 200g Chicken / Beef / Mince + Rice or potatoes + veges

*WORKOUT 9pm*

Post workout 10pm: Double Protein Shake

Any suggestions / recommendations?

Cheers! :)

Try having a last meal post training, something like 1h-1H30 post training (so 59min-1h29 after your shake :P), with slow carbs like pasta wholemeal bread, etc..

I would also suggest adding more healthy fats through the day (olive/nuts oils, avocado, etc..).

Just my 2 cents, other will have great advices too I bet.

why do you train so late? personal preference or because you have to?

and what gym stays open past 9?

It just works out better if i do my workout late (around 9pm) as when i get home from work i like to relax for an hour, cook dinner etc and then once my food is settled, hit the exercise equipment. My garage has all sorts or gym equipment accumulated over the years - i could probably charge a gym fee for people to use it :pfft:

Thanks for the suggestions. Me and a mate are looking into getting some creatine and mass gainer (as i don't feel like im getting enough calories into me for bulking purposes). Is this a good idea for my body to have these extra supplements along with my normal protein shakes? And what times do you reckon are best to take them (creatine & mass gainer) with regards to my diet posted above? cheers

mass gainers are all good but i dont bother with them anymore, there expensive - you may as well spend that money on food, unless you really cant stoumach enough food to get you growing i wouldnt bother with one just yet.
