I haven't heard great things about those electronic bf testers as the result can be greatly skewed by how hydrated you are.

The best electronic testers are put out by biostat. they do a pharmacutical (Hospital) grade machine that is 99.5% accurate. I know contours in Albany have one. May pay to call the NZ distributor to find out whom he has sold one to in your area. They are well worth the trouble in getting. Graph you results and measure calcium - bone density ... all sorts.

email: biostat@slingshot.co.nz

web: http://www.biostat.co.nz/

See products - Quadscan 4000 - all checkout the software.

guys name is Rob Burlison. I was going to buy one myself to compiliment my nutrition consultancy as the top of the range machine has broad appeal and is a great way to build retention and extra revenue in your gym.

hydration doesn't effect this machine from memory - this was a concern of mine given the domestic ECMs have very poor accuracy.

ok so been feeling pretty sick the last 2 days :?

but anyway had a legs training session today with nick smith

just followed his workout plan

so...

walking lunges - 1st time doing these - BRUTAL!!

20kg db each hand - 3 x lengths of a basketball court - knee to the floor

he went then i went - so not much rest time, 1st length was easy, 2nd was getting hard, 3rd was very hard, had to stop every few steps to catch breath couldnt even do proper ones by the end lol

then onto bb squats

60x10

100x8x2-3

squats were hard after the lunges, but not too bad, but started feeling sick so went off to the toilet were i threw up a few times :puke: :pale: :puke: , was disgusting - hope im better soon

then leg extensions

90x15x3 squeeze at the top 2 sec negative

leg press

140x15

190x15x2

was a good session but pretty hard with the way i was feeling, be interesting to see how i go next week on legs as i feel the test just kicking in now..... maybe why i feel sick ??

Great effort tonight, considering you were sick. I commend you bro.

As for next monday, same time, but this time at les mills. And hopefully you will not be sick, that way you can REALLY punish your legs! :D

Any noticable sides bro? :)

ummm sex drive yup, hunger yup, think i will get bad acne on it soon always get it on creatine so pretty prone to it.

Acne man... It's not fun.. Creatine doesn't give you acne. You get acne from a hormone imbalance between your body and your skin. That's what my dermatologist told me on my 1st visit back when i was 17. He also said he's been treating bodybuilders for the last 30 years.. Hmm i wonder why? :D

Now at 22 i've just finished my 4th course of Isotane. This time being 8 months worth of treatment. I've been on/off over the years. Not good on the wallet, not good on the bone calcium or skin moisture. But it gets rid of acne.

So yeah, if you really want something that will get rid of it. Give him a call, Dr Hepburn. He's in town down durham street. ;)

yeah but what are the side effects of that, can't be good for you?

It's not good for you at all. It's a synthetic derivative of vitamin A. It has many names, some Roacutane, Isotane, Isotretonoin.. If you wikipedia it, it has a pretty big write up.

Some sides are, bone density loss, ie. calcium depletion, mood swings, drying and flaking of skin, lethargy.. The list is quite extensive.

None the less, the sides i had from it were Lethargy, drying of skin, probably calcium depletion, my mood was fine, i can be a moody bugger anyways :D

In the end it comes down to the individual involed.

There are many other thing's that are much worse for you than Isotane treatment, and the benefits far outweigh the sides in my opinion. ;)

Yea I wouldn't take the stuff, especially wile on the juice, plus it reduces acne my affecting hormone levels.

Also you should be eating a real meal post work out(with in the hour). Even though it's the last thing you feel like doing.
