Newbie with outrageous appetite

Hello all!

I'm a Wellies girl who has been gymming for a good 4 years now to keep in shape. I plan to go harder this year to really tone down.

I'm 62kg, 170cm and am getting measured next week for final stats.

My diet is okish, but lately I've been really feeling the hunger! Food is on my mind 24/7. I'm just wondering how you all cope with a strict diet? Any tips? An example of what I usually eat is below:

M1: Cup of oats with PP

M2: Protein Bar or Shake

M3: Salad Greens with Chicken, Ham or Turkey (or when I'm really naughty, Sushi instead)

M4: Nuts

M5: Meat and Veg (Either stir fry, soup, salad etc etc)

M6: Protein shake (sometimes)

If it were up to me, I would double this amount! (Seriously, I'm an eating machine when I want to be).

Nice to meet you all :D

Yes! My trainer and I have been thinking of preparing me for a figure comp (for next year possibly)

I definitely have a lot of work to do!

Yeah I'm definitely keen on one of the lower class comps - my trainer has aimed for this year but I'm not sure if that is realistic.

You should go for it too!

Thanks for all the welcomes and feedback all!

runveerun - to be honest I haven't been adding in any fruit in my diet - will give that a go

Yep a banana in the morning is a good filler and the carbs will give you energy + potassium is good for you! Apples are good too!

if your trainer is preparing you for a comp y not get your trainer to advise you with what to be eating now, imo if someone thinks they are able to guide your though a comp they should know nutrition it is just as, if not even more valuable as training.

if you intend to get onstage, but not in the near future you do not want to be cutting cals now otherwise you make your job Verrry difficult when crunch time comp diet begins.

@ 62kgs, depending on BF% your should be eating more i rekon; starving does not = fat loss, just lean mass loss = looking skinnier

M1 all good

M2 you relise unless you are having a carbless bar, a pbar has carbs, a shake (w water) doesnt, this meal should b around ATLEASt 200cals-thus a pshake+fruit (better yet, can tuna+fruit)

M3:add carbs; oats kumara, potatoe even basmati rice, not alot, jus 50g will suffice

M4:if this is pre w.o not nuts. protien and maybe carbs (but generally just pro as a female cutting

M5: all good

M6: never sometimes, always always

Cheers Small, I'm actually relieved to see I should be eating more! I wondered if I was eating too little. Definitely keen to add more into the diet :) Had a chat to the trainer and he seemed to think I was eating enough, perhaps I exaggerated what I was eating though.

Thanks for the feedback
