For reference I always review my protein mixed with chilled water in a shaker with nothing added or in a blender with ice and water

Taste - This stuff is epic. I always used to add cold coffee with my chocolate protein and this tastes way better. Blend with ice = instant frappacino .. mmm.

10/10

Sweetness - The sweetness is bang on

10/10

Texture - Ditto as for all Syntha 6. This stuff is awesome. I love thick shake. I'd give it a 10.5 if I could :D

10/10

Nutrient Profile - Like Syntha 6 Banana flavour the only thing that bothers me about this protein powder is the carbohydrate serving in it. I'm on a really low carbohydrate diet at the moment and would prefer less carbohydrates but I am willing to sacrifice the carbohydrate for the taste of this stuff! Syntha 6 also has 5g of fiber in it, that's 20% of your RDI!! Very very impressed.

It also is "slow release" protein powder so really an excellent choice for before bed and daytime shakes.

* Sustained Release (up to 8 hours of amino acid nitrogen delivery)

* Multi-Functional A.M.-P.M. Protein Blend

* 6 Different Ultra-Premium Proteins (nutritionally complete/complete amino acid profiles)

* Active Protein Utilization Enzymes (Aminogen® and Papain)

* Branched-Chain Amino Acids and Essential and Non-Essential Amino Acids

* Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs), a fast-burning energy source

* Glutamine Peptides

* Great Source of Fiber

* Aspartame Free

* 7 'ridiculously' delicious flavors

9/10

Mixability - Mixes well, the powder is very fine and there was only a few lumps left on the side of the blender

9/10

Smell in packet - Smell is a bit chemical but not too bad

7/10

Smell in shake - Smells like frappacino. All good.

10/10

Cost - This is definitely not cheap cheap, but in my mind it is a premium protein powder and as with most things you get what you pay for. I don't know any other protein powder that tastes this good, is slow release and has fiber in it.

7/10

Side Effects - None and I have been having it a lot.

10/10

Overall 9.1/10 I have a hard time choosing between this and Syntha 6 Chocolate. I love Syntha 6. I would have it all the time if it wasn't so expensive and carby. I try not to drink it all the time because if I have 3 shakes a day that's 45g of carbohydrates, compared with something like EAS or SciVation or even ON with 3 shakes totaling less than 10g. 10/10 on taste alone.

Hey thanks for posting this review.

But I got really confused reading it. This is a protein powder, but it only contains a tiny 22 grams of protein in a huge 44 gram serving size. That's only 50% protein!! It just makes me wonder what the hell is in the ingredients.

Could you post the ingredients in your reviews?

And cholesterol 55mg ... yikes!

She did post the ingredients, the other 22gms are carbs (15 or 16) and fat (6).

How much cholesterol to get under your yikes-meter? 54mg...53mg...5mg?

And what if it's HDL cholesterol, is 55mg okay then?

i think its awsum, all BSN flavours are good and a wiked product. =P~ you can always add more powder in any-way to suit your protien needs.. synther-6 is mainly for more working on cutting stages of your diet if competing, since its a much slower release in2 the body
