Its a stupid question but Im gonna ask. Should I be drinking milk? I drink about 100ml of ultra trim per day with my 1st shake. I remember arnold saying he never drank milk.

If I should be, what milk is best

anchor extra milk is good the one with yellow top its got added protein and i think they take some of the fat out aswell

Yea, you make a good point, but I'm thinking that the any significant amount of whey would be removed from the milk initially, an would have only been added to the protein powder again during the formulation of these products, as a opposed to a protein that is just straight whey or straight casein.

I don't drink milk, except for little on my porridge, which I'll only eat if there's not a blender around. I recall reading if you weren't exposed to cows milk at a very young age, your body is missing an enzyme or something to digest it properly. Also alot of health experts are anti milk.

They don't take whey out of the milk you drink. The Milk in your bottle should be 80% Casein/20% whey so if you drink enough of it and don't mind the carbs/lactose and bit of fat, it contains everything you need to gain muscle. Whey protein generally comes from the milk used in the manufacture of cheese - they remove whey when it separates from the curds (curds and whey) not milk.

Humans aren't really designed to drink milk however we're probably better at digesting it when were young than when we age, as levels of lactase enzyme in our guts (which digests milk sugar lactose) declines over time. If you're not lactose intolerant you're probably more likely to have issues with whey protein than with milk due to the higher levels of beta-lactoglobulin. This is a microfraction found in high levels in Ion exchange WPI's, and in lesser amounts in MF and UF WPI and WPC. It's pretty much the only thing in milk/whey that the majority of humans aren't setup to digest and that we have the highest allergic reaction to.

There is a possibility that Casein may cause cancer or something, but I think it's more to do with calcium caseinate not the natural occurring caseins found in milk.

If you can drink milk, and some people just can't, then call it food. 350ml of yellow top milk mixed with a good whey protein powder, and a plastic bag of small baked potatos in your pocket is going to be a much healthier, cheaper and effective mass stack than a hyped up mass builder powder product.
