hey

considering trying the new gen CEE Esthyl Ether Creatine.

Have been using balance straight monohydrate and did notice the gain while loading but less once in maintenance. put on a good 2 kgs of water aswell so it has been working.

guess my question is for the extra price of ethyr is it worth it?

I know theres been lots of debate in the US about it

opinions from nz users - and what brand are u using?

Use a good few cycles of a decent creatine mono first. I wouldn't use anything other than Creapure creatine though, no sense in using stuff from china. Cheap and nasty yet the same retail price as Creapure. Bang for bucks creatine mono outdoes any other creatine on the market.

As far as being backed by studies Creapure Creatine Mono is - I'm not so sure about the stuff from china though.

Creatine ethyl esters may not be that flash for your overall health due to the ethyl alcohol attached and as stated no science to really back the claims made. Creatine Gluconate may be better being creatine and glucose, but again I'm not sure if there's any studies to show it's better than mono.

You might want to avoid the effervescent creatine, it never worked for me and it's loaded with extras ... Dextrose, Micronised Creatine (pharmaceutical grade), Citric Acid, Sodium Bicarbonate, Maltodextrin, Cellulose, Sucralose, Colour-Betacarotene.

I'll probably get shot down here :pfft:

When I was using mono I was having good gains but found the water retention was really what was making it appear like I was getting good gains. I switched to Kre-Alk and haven't looked back.

Kre-Alk gets my vote

Google: http://www.google.co.nz/search?hl=en&q= ... DcountryNZ

Or if that's too hard these brands all use creapure and they are all available in NZ- Universal, Prolab, Optimum, Leppin, Pharmasports, Reactiv, Miada....

I spotted this on Google!

Universal's Creatine Chews provide the purest Creapure creatine monohydrate in a convenient and tasty chewable. Creatine Chews are designed with a special tri-glycemic carbohydrate matrix that creates the necessary metabolic environment needed to help enhance the uptake of creatine by muscle cells.

But if I'm chewing heaps of these, will it like, make my face muscles huge?

Who makes it in NZ?

Yes, I was under the impression that it was either Pfanstiehl from the US, Creapure from Germany, or that anything else was from China?

It's possible that Balance/Nutralife manufacture it or that there is a local chemical company that makes it. There's a lot of work involved in the process so I'm not too sure if anyone would have gone to the expense of setting that up though.

The Balance labels states made in nz from imported ingredients which kind of infers that they are making it. I am more inclined to think that they are packing imported creatine however I could be wrong about that.

And for some strange reason Balance do two types - one is 100% Pure Creatine, the other is 100% Micronised Creatine (which used to be Pfanstiehl but no longer seems to be made by Pfanstiehl).
