Have just moved to London and need some help

Righto, long time reader etc., etc., and have just moved to London and about to get back into training.

Thing is, everything over here is so different - in terms of names, brands etc. So would anyone be able to give me some advice on which brands of protein, creatine etc., I should look to buy? Or if there are suppliments over here which we can't get back home, which one's would you recommend? Also, I was reading the 'ultimate stack' thread and wondered what in your opinions I should be looking to get over here. Non-steriod of course.

Any input I think would be great.

Thanks.

P.S. on my way over here, stopped in LA for a week and stayed with a mate of mine who has been in tv for a while over there and one of his best mates came round one night to party. Kevin Levron himself. Nice guy.

Hiya! Welcome to the UK! \:D/

There's such a selection to choose from over here, lots of competition so you can get some really good deals. It all depends on how much money you want to spend. You can get the usual brand names like EAS/Maximuscle (big brand over here) / SAN nutrition/CNP etc.. etc.. but you can usually find yourself paying through the nose for it (especially EAS). If you shop around though you can get decent suppelements for a good price. Try:

http://www.247bodybuilding.com (my sponsor - really good deals! he he)

http://www.extremenutrition.co.uk

http://www.fitshopsupplements.com

http://www.monstersupplements.com

http://www.sportfood.co.uk

Most brands over here will state if they're OK for tested athletes too, especially on fatburner supplements.

You planning to compete over here too?

xx

Holland and Barratt stores which are on most high streets are good one-stop health food shop I used to get my protein powder from there, not sure how competitively priced they are tho. They are good for healthy food and vitamins and advice. Have fun in the big smoke!! :D

Yeah working as an account manager for a branding and design agency. Will do that for a few months then see about getting an agent.

Gyming at LA Fitness - not the best place and really pisses me off how they don't have a hammer strength chin up bar plus no fans for when it gets REAL hot.

Their gyms over here on a whole are average from what I have experienced.

Started my new routine yesterday. Back, bi's. ab's and forearms. Think this year I will be doing a lot of deadlifts and squats etc. Really enjoying them.

Bummer you had to join an LA Fitness gym .. the one up here in Manc. is poo too. There are some really good BB gyms around though, it's just whether you (a) have private transport to get there or (b) are lucky enough to live close by. Whereabouts in London are ya? There are a few really good gyms down there, Monster Gym is really good but that's a little bit out of London (http://www.monstergym.co.uk). If you go into your local book store and grab a copy of the Beef magazine, a few gyms usually advertise their details in the back of it. :)

Yeah it does kinda suck not having more choice of gyms to go to, but living in Kentish town and the gym is literally across the road. Got home from work after 8pm and was able to hit the gym straight away.

Looking to get my supps from monstersuppliments.com as their website is pretty good, easy to read and has user feedback on products etc.
