Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey - French Vanilla Creme

For reference I always review my protein mixed with chilled water in a shaker with nothing added or in a blender with water and ice.

Taste - This is the second ON Vanilla flavor I have tasted and it is much nicer than Vanilla Ice Cream. This to me tastes much much more like Ice Cream, although I am not really a fan of Vanilla stuff at all this definately tastes vanilla-y and a little creamy. But a bit too chemically for me. I think in milk this stuff would taste AWESOME.

7/10

Sweetness - This is just perfect in the sweetness, not overpowering at all.

10/10

Texture - Quite "thin" in water, I think they could do with some thickener in this stuff. I'm sure it would be excellent with milk, and when blended with a few cubes of ice it is better but you can still tell no where near as thick as other brands. I'm a sucker for thick shakes.

7/10

Nutrient Profile - As with most of the other flavors in ON 100% Whey there is 120 calories per scoop and when you are getting a flavor hit like this I am more than happy with the calories, and with only 1 gram of fat per serving and 4g of carbohydrates it is still very low carbohydrate friendly.

7/10

Mixability - This stuff mixes very, very well, just like all the ON 100% Whey I have tried. Water + a shaker is all you need, a few quick shakes and there will be no powder left on the bottom or sides.

9/10

Smell in packet - Woah this stuff smells like chemicals - very overpowering.

3/10

Smell in shake - Once again a bit chemical smelling.

4/10

Cost - As with most flavors of ON you can pick this up for relatively cheap from a online store or even from New World in Victoria Park if you are lucky enough to live nearby.

8/10

Side Effects - None so far

9/10

Overall 7.1/10 I would not buy this to mix with water. If I was doing it with milk probably worth a try.

Better flavors in this brand I have tried - Cookies N' Cream, Caramel Toffee Fudge

Hey, something fishy going on with your math...

Add all the scores, it comes to 65. There are nine categories, so a total would be 90.

So overal score should be 65/90 or 7.2 out of 10.

Don't you agree ?

or does Laura's fudge-factor-estimation-algorith kick in and skew the scores backwards
