Turns out there's a Horse Abbattoir in Gore, ships the majority of its product to Germany, where there has been some demand.

i dont know about the rest of you but i cant stand the thought of eating a horse. :puke:

serious note:i managed to track down some lean cuts,thinking bout stewing it up b/c its gonna be too tough to eat imo.any ideas ??

I had to remove the Fascia between the muscle after it was cooked which is time consuming! the best i could do was a curry... its so lean that there's not fat to.. emulsify .. the meat..? i tried mincing it and it looked great uncooked but after it was cooked some of the meat clumped together.. unfortunately i dont have the strongest stomach, someone with an iron stomach might wolf it down tho.

Bodysculpt,i've just put it in the slowcooker along wiht a shit load of chinese 5 spice that i got form the asian supermarket.its whole,and not crushed up like the ones at normal supermarkets.seasoned it too. gonna let it cook over night n see.will keep ya updated on how it goes down 2morrow :oops: :oops:

there is no limit to a bodybuilders brutality... they would clean up in a show like Fear Factor.. rock spiders... coachroches.. its all protein.... Im jealous at how much food some of these guys can eat, as they say its the most anabolic substance.

Ive given some of my horse to the dog, she inhales it... its not fair! im jealous of the dog

okay,just tried my new recipe w/ horsemeat. taste like beef,but its a little sweeter from the broth. but the texture is very very tough and sorta dryish when chewing (like eating plain tuna chunks in water).had to mix in w/ rice and olive oil in order to chow it down.there was literally no fat even after stewing it. i think it'l be a last resort for meat,budget wise.but i much prefer good ol chicken of beef.funny part was watching my gf tucking into that stew, having absolutely no idea it was horse...lmao :pfft:

You should be careful if you're eating horse, and need to pass a drug test. Don't eat the Queen's horse, for instance.
