For reference I always review my protein mixed with chilled water in a shaker with nothing added or in a blender with ice and water

Taste - Well I haven't had banana flavored anything in years since a traumatic experience with it as a kid - but this stuff is absolutely top notch. It is creamy, delicious and perfectly flavored. I can't get over how good it is. I gave a sip to my mum who hates protein shakes and even she was impressed. Blended with a few cubes of ice this is just like a frothy banana shake from a takeaway place.

10/10

Sweetness - The sweetness is perfect! I do have a sweet tooth though so I can imagine some people may find it bordering on too sweet.

10/10

Texture - The powder is very fine and the texture when blended with ice is perfect milkshake consistency. Only a 9 because I imagine without Ice it wouldn't quite meet my thickness standards.

9/10

Nutrient Profile - The only thing that bothers me about this protein powder is the carbohydrate serving in it. I'm on a really low carbohydrate diet at the moment and would prefer less carbohydrates but I am willing to sacrifice the carbohydrate for the taste of this stuff! This is also the first protein powder I have come across that has 5g of fiber in it, that's 20% of your RDI!! Very very impressed.

It also is the first "slow release" protein powder I have tried so really an excellent choice for before bed and daytime shakes.

* Sustained Release (up to 8 hours of amino acid nitrogen delivery)

* Multi-Functional A.M.-P.M. Protein Blend

* 6 Different Ultra-Premium Proteins (nutritionally complete/complete amino acid profiles)

* Active Protein Utilization Enzymes (Aminogen® and Papain)

* Branched-Chain Amino Acids and Essential and Non-Essential Amino Acids

* Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs), a fast-burning energy source

* Glutamine Peptides

* Great Source of Fiber

* Aspartame Free

* 7 'ridiculously' delicious flavors

9/10

Mixability - Mixes well, the powder is very fine and there was only a few lumps left on the side of the blender

8/10

Smell in packet - Smell is interesting in the pack, I can't put my finger on what it smells like, I think perhaps its banana flavored Nesquik.

8/10

Smell in shake - Smells like a banana milkshake! I'm only giving this a 9 because I don't really like that smell but it is a very good representation!

9/10

Cost - This is definitely not cheap cheap, but in my mind it is a premium protein powder and as with most things you get what you pay for. I don't know any other protein powder that tastes so good and has fiber in it.

7/10

Side Effects - None so far, although I don't recommend burping after you drink this stuff... weiiird aftertaste :P

9/10

Overall 8.7/10 I'm not sure if I could handle banana every day because of my past experiences but it really is fantastic tasting. Would be great to have a tub of this for when you get bored of your standard stuff as a special treat. I guarantee if you fed this to a kid they would not know the difference. But on taste alone I give this 9.5/10

If you are looking for a great tasting slow release protein powder this would be it.

Better flavors in this brand I have tried - Haven't tried any - soon to review Chocolate Milkshake :)

Hey Laurasaur I always enjoy your reviews. :clap: I especially like the categories, "Smell in Packet" and "Smell in Shake"! :D Always important! If you ever try any of the Balance "Caramel Dream" flavoured powders beware! They stink the whole house out as soon as you open the tub!

I might give this one a go thanks to your cool review! :grin:

Nice :grin: Cheers Laurasaur.

I wont go asking, but it would be nice to see companies look after those who purchase on a regular basis from their websites.
