Who can be a body builder?

So im interested in doing body building, but i am not sure that i have the right body for it. :)

I do alot of exercise (cardio) and even though i eat very healthy i am not slim but i am really fit. After taking a fitness test wih the trainers at the gym they say that my heart rate rises and then is constant and this is probably why i see no change in my size.

:? Is this a problem or when i start lifting the weights will my physique change?

I'm sure its the same for women as it is for men (and as i found out for myself) - there's no wrong type of body to be a bodybuilder; just the wrong training for YOUR type.

If you want to tone/ change the shape/ shed bodyfat/ build muscle, this place and some of the awesome people on it will give you great advice.

But yep, that whole journey starts with picking up weights...cardio on its own will get you fit, but as you've discovered that's not the whole puzzle.

Thanks for all your replies, sorry about putting it in the ladis room just thought it was more to do with women ut not really sure.

I do lift some weights but not daily, they are about 2kgs either side of a bar and mainly chest and biceps. I do squats and lunges with no weights.

So what would you suggest or should i seek that info from the gym??

Thanks again
