For reference I always review my protein mixed with chilled water in a shaker with nothing added.

Taste - This is the nicest chocolate protein powder I have tasted. Not surprising when the only other chocolate protein I have tried is Reactiv Chocolate which I thought was disgusting and undrinkable in just water.

Mixed with water in a shaker - tastes like a delicious chocolate milk.

Mixed with ice and water in a blender - tastes like a thick chocolate milkshake.

Mixed with ice and water and a shot of espresso in a blender - tastes like a Starbucks frappe.

Mixed with ice and water and few drops of almond essence and a shake of cinnamon and cocoa powder - DIVINELY RICH... ok you get the idea

Sweetness - This seems to have the perfect amount of sweetness for me. I have a very sweet tooth and I have never been tempted to add any sweetener like I am with most other powders.

Texture - Medium, does have the consistency of milk when mixed with water, when blended with Ice I cannot complain

Nutrient Profile - As with ON 100% Whey there is 120 calories per scoop and when you are getting a flavor like this I am more than happy with the calories, and with only 1 gram of fat per serving and 3g of carbohydrates it is still very low carbohydrate friendly. Whey Concentrate is listed first alternatively with ON Isolate is the first ingredient in the blend.

Mixability - Mixes well sometimes a few small bits stick to the side of the shaker but very very little wastage. ON 100% Whey does mix better though.

Smell in packet - Smell is ok similar to drinking chocolate

Cost - This seems to be very reasonable and because it is so popular you are able to pick it up on special a lot of the time.

Overall 7.2/10 Would definately buy again just to mix with coffee for frappes but I will force myself to try another chocolate flavor first to compare.

Better flavors in this brand I have tried - Haven't tried any - would love to try Vanilla though.

This is a very thorough investigation Laurasaur! I have the Vanilla EAS whey at the mo and love it as it mixes so easily I will get the choc next time methinks!
