Injection site bruising

Hi everybody,

I hoping to start my first cycle in the new year. I was wondering how much bruising/swelling usually occurs with injections?

I'm planning on running 500mg test e per week for 10 weeks, doing my own gluteal injections. Haven't actually got hold of any test yet but I have got 22gauge 1.5" needles.

Am I gonna have to explain fresh bruises on my arse every week to my girlfriend? :shifty:

i do delts so cant comment on your arse however my dels felt fkn bruised but they looked ok apart from some swelling which could have passed as muscle lol...

it depends on your gear quality i think.. sometimes you dont even feel it, other times u have a little lump that goes away, personally never had a bruise from it, just swallon a bit.

Just tell your mrs, she will know something is up when u want sex twice+ a day everyday :pfft: :pfft: :pfft:

I don't think she'd notice the increased sex drive really, unless its uncontrolable, I always want sex twice+ a day.

She's more like to notice my tightened sack and smaller balls. Hoping to combat that though.

What size needles do you guys use? Do smaller needles give less bruising/swelling at all?

i dont get any brusing but in my experiance there are a few factors that will determine wether or not its painfull after wards ie make sure u get your skin nice and tight before you put the needle in (if not it can bounce out a bit) and minimise movement of the needle when your injecting. depending on how steady you are you wont barely feel a thing but dont get it right and itll feel like a horse has booted you. my 2cents mate good luck

and i use 26 1 inch but there thin as and takes ages to inject so id go 25

Just make sure when you play rugby in bed she keeps her hands off your arse or she'll notice one sides alot harder than the other :pfft: :pfft:

Thanks for your opinions. So not too much bruising then as long as I'm not shaking like a leaf when I stick myself.

i've got a bunch of 19g drawing up needles that I think I'll try swap at the local NE for something smaller.

I read on another forum of someone who did use 19g needles regularly to inject in the glute.

A nurse once told me that bruising comes from bad technique and moving the needle too much when it is in and pushing the plunger in too fast.

Draw with a 20g - less rubber stopper damage

Pin with a 23g 1" for all sites except glutes & although a 1" pushed all the way in is OK, a 1.5" is better.

The best place to start pinning is the lateral delt head (middle head). It gives you a visable site & the delts are fairly forgiving to bad inj technique like unsteadyness etc.

Bruising will not normally occur if you pin deep enough & dont force the oil in too quickly

I will go over Pinning 101 if you want more info or check out the inj sites on the net. Here is a good one I like, but remember everybody has different muscle head locations, so you got to look at your muscle groups to see where the best place is for you.

i draw with a 22g (grey) and shoot with a 25g 1 " (orange)

there are many different options/opinions on wat pins to use. as for bruising it will feel brusied and numb when u first start injecting a new site.... wat do u expect it to be.. warm and fuzzy? :pfft:

you can do a site injection with an insulin needle as long as the oil will go through it, i found 27, half inch works fine, just take a min or two for oil to draw into it. easy to do muscles like bi's ect that you don't need to have a deeper injection for.

Quads are full of nerves & blood vessels fairly close to the surface & unless you have reasonably muscular legs, its quite difficult to find the middle & thickest part of the of the rectus or the vastus. Yes they are the easiest to do for an experienced pinner but for a newbie you cant go past a delt shot IMO.

I was planning on doing 1 single 2ml shot (500mg) per week. Hadn't considered delts since it would mean only 1ml at a time, right? Or will delts take 2ml? Thinking about it, delts do seem like an easy site.

I didn't want to do quads cos I can see veins absolutely everywhere on them.

KRS1 now that you have ask about how to do it and it being your first time using gear why don't you go back to the guy that's selling you the gear and get him to give you the injections and inform you of your cycle. if he can not do than don't get the gear of him as some one that's selling will show you and help you through it.

i dnt matter about veins thats y u aspirate b4 push the oil in, and delts can take like 3mls no probs.

i just said quads coz u can easliy c wat u are doing and as soon as withdraw the pin u can wipe clean with other hand staright away instead of mucking around.

anyway nothing wrong with delt shots, just saying.
