Best tenderiser for steak

Some may already know this, but for those that don't - kwiwfruit mashed and spread over a piece of chewy old rump steak tenderises it beautifully. Makes it edible.

Half a kiwifruit, mash it up, spread it over your steak. 10 minutes is plenty of time. Apparently its to do with the enzymes in the fruit.

Make sure you only use half a kiwifruit, was told a story not long ago of someone I know putting about 10 kiwifruit on his steak over night, took it out the next morning and the steak had turned into a sloppy piece of goo and inedible

ive worked in a kitchen where kiwifruit was used to tenderise squid, absolutely amazing results!
