bulk buying off nutraplanet + customs

basically I'm looking to put through a reasonable size order to last me the next 6 months from nutraplanet. Thought I'd buy it all at once and save me some green on shipping.

I was just wondering if there is anything I should be aware of? or if any of the products I'm getting in are banned/cause drama. (I'm using FedEX too)

From my searches it seems 'Flex' is the man when it comes to knowledge on this so hopefully he can reply!

setting me back 600-700, but theres a few extra luxuries in there and I expect rest to last me 6-8 months and I gotta bit of extra cash at the moment.

Also, is there any chance I could get done for supplying because of my quantity? Bit new to this so any help/thoughts/comments be much appreciated

Anything over about $500 and it raises a flag at Customs and you'll likely get a phonecall from FedEx Customs saying you have to pay GST before they release your parcel off the wharf for delivery.

You have no choice but to pay the GST despite not being for commercial use.

If you buy often enough you'll notice they conduct thorough searches in waves of about about 6-weeks, so if you've got anything you shouldn't in there it's a 50/50 chance of it being inspected that's all and they just take out the offending item and nothing bad happens to you or your family. :twisted:

i got 6 months supply of metrx protein and a test booster

i payed 700 dollars and customs charge me a xtra 600 dollars to get it to me :( so be carfull and dont order too much

According to the Medsafe website, Melatonin is a prescription medicine so if customs check then this wont get through

What he said. Melatonin is prescription only in NZ, L-Dopa is prescription only so even though PowerFull isn't technically L-Dopa I'd say you'll still have problems.

I think the GST payment is due on consignments over $400 NZD and you pay 12.5% GST on the products and the freight cost, and might get stung for duty of 7% on the products.

just called up customs

works out that if tax comes to under $50 they wave it.

so basically I can't go over 400NZ(50x12.5) in total which breaks down to around $380 (5% duty they hit you with too)

This works out to be around 220US and I'm Looking to spend around 400US...

SO I can either split it into 3 shipments and pay FedEX more or take the tax hit.

next question is whether its cheaper to have one super heavy parcel and one light parcel or even out the weight....

Oh and if my parcel is over 500bux and they have to check how much tax is they will be more likely to check if theres any thing illegal...

guess If I wanna try and get my hands on something banned its better so send it through by itself?

Don't know shit about importing stuff, as have never done it my self but I read on here some where that you have next to no chance of getting the strong stuff past customs. My understanding is that it's really a hit an miss.

Don't know why you want something illegal :-|, there are plenty of excellent alternatives: like lemon tea for instance, add few rose petals to your teapot and it becomes a strong herbal detoxifier.........nah just kidding, kicking u while u feel down!

Seriously though, just look at it as the gamble that it really is and only play the odds if you can afford the loss and the gain in your opinion is great enough.
