Bulk Blowout!

Laver

Recommended Posts

OB,

Pak n Save, Wanganui in my case

98c a pop!

BUYER BEWARE - There is now two types of Ally Pink Salmon.

One is product of canada, the other is product of china.

Believe it or not, the canadian stuff is absolute crap, I would almost put it at worse than the Budget Salmon. So buy the chinese one (one they've always had - yummyy).

The Candian stuff says Product of Canada on the box of 24x Cans, and the Cans look different, newer design and have a canadian product stamp on the top.

I found this out after my last purchase or several hundred, took all the candian ones back and swapped!

Just in case Pak'n'Save hadn't realised you were completely nuts after that initial bulk purchase, huh? I'd have loved to have seen their faces. You should have got it on camera. :pfft:

that's a lot of salmon laver. Have you noticed any side effects from eating it in such large quantities? I don't mind the odd tin of salmon from time to time but thats extreme. Do you mix anything with it ? soy sauce, lemon etc or just eat it virgin out of the can?

It's a cheap way to get a lot of protein in anyway. $7 a day for over 200grams :)

Well I used to have 6cans of Tuna a day, this was about a week before I learned it was bad due to mercury levels, so pretty much ditched that idea (still got heaps sitting around... incase of WW3 etc) and switched to Salmon instead which has a LOT less mercury than Tuna, I haven't actually taken the time to figure out how much mercury I'm getting from the Salmon at the moment but I'm all good.

I only have between 2 - 3 cans a day at the moment 5 - 6 days a week. So it's not that excessive.

I don't feel any negative effects - or positive for that matter. I've never been one to feel physically/mentally different due to my diet.

I use to have chicken in my lunch during the week were I got to the point of were I could not to bothered to buy chicken any more so I switched over to having salmon with my lunch plus it works out cheaper for me $8.45 for five cans during the week.I'd also loved to seen the look on there faces and get a copy of the camera footage on DVD or video :pfft: .

Don't know how you can eat so much salmon!

It's nice eating but to rich in flavour for me to be able to eat large quantities of it.

One can a day is all I could stomach, how do you cope? Do you eat a few cans a day or throw it in sandwiches and things?

Used it eat 3 - 4 cans a day, now usually have 2,

I just eat it from the can, find it quite tasty really, quite palatable in most cases!

Messed my meals up today for the first time in a while and ended up having 3 cans, once I got to can 3 and realised the next meal was also supposed to be Salmon I thought F*&K this and prepd some other food :o Was too much to handle!
