Damn Twisted/Sprained Foot

Anyone here sprained a foot before? and if so how long did it take to fucking heal?

4 weeks ago, after a swim I went to my car and sort of did a little mis-step and twisted my foot a bit. No big deal I thought, it will come right quickly.... half an hour later the thing is aching like hell and it's Saturday so I couldn't really go to a podiatrist. I spent the weekend hobbling round and icing it on the couch. By mon, it was improved though still sore to walk or stand for long.

Now 4 weeks on, although it's much better, it still sore after a bit of walking or standing and I'm wanting to get back into my lower body weights.... does this sort of thing just take a while?

I called up today and booked an appointment @ sports med for next week.

This takes the cake of sucky injuries I've had so far...

from experience - it shouldn't take that long. Good on you for booking an appointment, I think you may have done something else to it

You'll have to re sprain it and heal it properly this time, sounds like you've got too much scar tissue, similar to how they re break your nose to straighten it.

I sprained my ankle and it took abot 2 months before it was right. It is still weaker than the other despite everything and I need to be careful with it but at least it causes no problem.

I'm confused... was it your foot or your ankle? Let us know what the diagnosis was...

wow so i sprained my ankle in oct,finally strong again,but my peroneal tendon hurts now when i jump on the foot!freaking awesome! :roll:
