Conditions:

*No aspartame or similar

*Low carbs (doenst matter if those carbs are fibre)

*Must taste F**king nice when mixed with water

Going on these criteria I have come up with this list. Open to more suggestions if they meet the above criteria. Not overly concerned about price.

ISO SENSATION (chocolate fudge)

Optimum Nutrition Whey Gold Standard Chocolate or Cookies and Cream

DYMATIZE Elite Protein (Mocha)

Megapro Choc? Not sure on this one

Horleys ICE Whey Swiss Chocolate

Devine Protein Toffee Royale

PVL royal vanilla icecream gourmet whey or White choc

Metabolic Drive Choc?

Someone decide for meeeee :D

I like the ON chocolate... i have with water and i recon it tastes quite nice. I also like the EAS 100% whey choc... but is getting kinda overpriced compared i only have it cos i get it cheap

So between the EAS and the ON based PURELY on taste would you say ON is nicer? And have you tried any of the other flavours? :) Thanks...

To be honest i like the EAS, i used to have it with milk and thought that switching to water was gonna be yuck but i was pleasantly surprised. Its such a tough call tho ON is still really nice and the price diff we defiantly mount up.

Mixing with a little bit less water always makes it taste better too.

Not a huge fan of the Horleys ICE when mixed only with water, though I don't like many protein powders mixed only with water. It's great in a blender with oats or milk.

Best I've tried would be Balance WPI in VANILLA - it froths up really thick and doesn't taste watery.

OK, sounds like you are down to ON or PVL and for some reason just chocolate. Now don't get me wrong I like my chocolate too but I would rather it came in a bar and had cadbury on it (maybe they should start making protein powder). How about my favourite ON bannana cream, it mixes well with water and tastes a little like a bannana milkshake from the local dairy. I also have it mixed with my oats and the smell is amazing...... I can really say I look forward to having it to the point where its almost a treat.

My 2 cents worth....

Just to throw another into the mix, have you tried Leppin's PRO4 powder? I haven't had it for years, but remember it as being very tasty. It's another NZ brand too, for what that's worth. :)

the leppin i had was terrible tasting (got a crappy flavour though) but was one of the easiest to mix proteins iv had, one of 2 that iv managed to mix with just a spoon.

You could skip the old milkshake flavored protein powder and try the 100% Whey Isolates that taste and mix like Orange juice or like melted Fruju iceblocks.. .yummm

Syntrax Nectar doesn't use Aspartame, has the lowest Sodium of any Protein powders, and can get in 2lb tub or the Grab 'n Go container that has x20 single serve sachets.

2lbs = 36 servings

23gms Protein (100% Whey Isolate)

0gms Carbs

0gms Fat

Once you try it you'll never do Chocolate/Vanilla/Strawberry/yah yah yah flavours again

Ok wow, when I read someone had made this into iceblocks - instantly SOLD! I am going to buy this as well as something else because I really enjoy my milky drinks...

Yeah bad experience here too :(

Laura likes to put coffee in sometimes, don't think banana would go with coffee :-s But yeah I must say I rate the PVL banana and EAS banana

Yeah hehe. Although I'm not sure cookies and cream is gonna go mint with coffee either and I have been seriously considering that hahaha

i got the vanilla sky flavour or something like that

at first it was the most vile thing id eva tasted, n smelled like rotten bubblegum but after a week or two it actually tasted pretty damn good, so good i wondered if it really was isolate and not some crappy other form of protein as i got a 5 pound for about 60$

Ahh the Nectar Natural range is the funny flavoured stuff.

Nectar and Nectar Sweets are to die for and yeah, Fuzzy Navel is my best choice.

A similar tasting flavour is made by 4EverFit, its called Fruit Blast Isolate and the Tropical Punch is also 'fruit juicy' flavoured.

PM me if u like and I'll send you out a sachet of Fuzzy Navel (single serving) from my Grab 'n Go container. Better to try before you buy see what u think :-)

Just so happens I have samples of the Apple Ecstacy, and Strawberry Kiwi too! Haven't tried them yet
