You guys just need a fitness bunny for a girlfriend/boyfriend!!! They normally understand whats going on and it makes it allot easier having the support. :pfft:

Yeah, I guess, but (not to turn this thread into a relationship thread) it's also a matter of having time to find that someone. Anyone round HB keen to catch up? \:D/ :pfft:

can't afford distractions atm. Will worry about that stuff after my comps in late Oct. yeah like minded ppl that understand and support you when dieting/training and the sacrifices you make throughout it all - they have to be very accommodating, I know.

Are there free fine specimens at Les Mills, AKL - lol

back to my post subject.

Isn't it funny that after a show, you have all these fantasies of bad food that you want to consume, i.e. sugary cakes, sweets chocolates.

Nothing really hit the spot this time - however, the steamed pot of mussels, baked potatoes dinner and Then a five grain toasted tuna, rocket and capers sandwich for lunch today. ah t'was divine.

Don't make a list! (unless it's all part of your process...) you deserve it and have rightfully earned it. Eat it, and carry on with your plans...

I know what you mean, this year was my first for competing and I certainly got a fright afterwards. I found everything that I had ever seen anybody eat that had made me jealous over the last 7 months of my insane diet, and I devoured it. (none of which tasted any good)

But as soon as I started eating bad I swelled up like a balloon, my eyes, stomach and legs puffed up and I started getting hayfever symptoms aswell.

My body does want to eat clean, but after a few days I just want to binge again. The other thing that sucks is watching your weight come back on, I am really struggling with looking at myself in the mirror, I have put on 7.6 kg's since 10th Oct, is that bad? all my friends say I now look healthy but I don't feel very positive about it. I am sure that soon I will start to think logically but to date it ain't happening.

The mistake most people make after competitions is to eat lots of crap. Once the fat is on you won't get rid of it till pre comp diet.7.5 kgs is quite a lot for a woman and it will be mostly fat im sorry to say.

I put on about 8 kilos off season and that takes me 8 months. Post competition I would be lucky to add a kilo per month. You need a clean bulk in the off season. Eat good food but a little more of. Once you start treating yourself you won't stop.

Women have to be particularly careful as their metabolism is lower than men.

I don't want to to a spoilsport but any sort of constant gratification with dirty foods will make it harder when you diet.

It is nice to have the occasional biscuit but then I have to eat the packet. It's best not to have that stuff at home.

I tried a bulk once and put on 16 kilos. By the time I dieted down I weighed less than the last year competition weight.

You need to avoid post competition blues and set a target for next year and use every workout as the journey for that goal.
