Gym in Albany

Hey does anyone know of a good gym around the Albany area of the north shore in Auckland? Just moved into the area. Any recommendations would be great. Cheers.

Hmm I went to the gym at Massey uni some years ago and it was veryyy cheap. The actual student one not the corporate one attached to it. but I think its quite small.. maybe worth a look tho.

There is a Club Physical in Albany which is a pretty good gym but the price aint the cheapest.

Otherwise there is the massive Millennium Gym which is even more pricey.

The cheapest gym would be Harbour Fitness in Wairau Park - an ok gym which is fairly spacious and has everything you need. Memberships are around $12 - 17 per week.

There was when I went there, it was seperate from the student one but shared the same changing rooms i think

yeah thats right, no corporate part now tho. The equipment is good and theres alot of it and spacious but you have to put up with the student rush at 5pm til 7pm and the growing number of 'im using this machine but il just text for 30 mins before I do another set' type gymmies and the open hours suck Mon-Fri 6am til 10pm and sat-sun 9-5pm. Besides that I go there so it cant be that bad or Im just not fussy :pfft:

You may wanna go to the glenfield leisure center - its not to shabby and has pools

My wife joined there recently ... is good for classes but I find the resistance area a bit confined.

Oh --- and having owned a club in the past --- if you knew what manky shit was floating around public swimming pools you probably wouldn't even dip your feet in them

oh.dude.no. haha, ew man. I am already traumatized enough from public pools
