Breakfast in Wellington

Hey all

I'm heading up for the nationals tomorrow but forgot all about having a cooked breakfast (steak). I'm staying at the Intercontinental on Grey St but the two places near by don't seem to do a steak breaky (that doesnt cost the earth).

Anybody have any ideas on where to go for that good pre-comp feed?

If you want a cheap steak then the Cambodians at Mr. Bun on Manners st. are probably your best bet. Otherwise for a decent bacon and eggs try Smith the Grocer cafe, Felix or Astoria cafe. All pretty close to the Intercontinental

Another place I can recommend is Fresco - up the escalator beside The Body Shoppe on Lambton Quay, great breakfasts

To find it from the Intercontental, just turn right, walk up Gray st to Lambton Quay and it'll be practically in front of you :-)
