some people I'd like to thank

Recommended Posts

I’d love it if you could all take the time to have a squiz at my wee list of thank yous. These people were instrumental in my progress this year and deserve full recognition and support. No particular order.

The Osteopathic Clinic in Hamilton – Dr Damian Kitcheman.

I hurt my back 10 years ago and not a single person could help me with it. The fabulous Pete Hunt referred me on to The Osteopathic Clinic this year after it ended up being in the worst pain ever, and now it just feels the best it ever has! Not only that Damian really helped me with my posture and my posing improved greatly due to this, he also kept my mental health in check for me also! Thanks Dr Damian! You have NO idea how important your treatment has been!

Sheta Hall – Evolve Personal Training.

Sheta was my tanning, hair and makeup goddess. She is also the amazing lady who helped me on my weight loss journey 3.5 years ago and inspired me to compete in Figure and pursue a more rewarding career in health and fitness. Sheta has been there through the ups and down of competition prep and I am eternally grateful to her and her guidance and friendship.

Sharon Hancock – Matamata Quilt and Craft (Broadway Matatmata)

This is my mum! Her shop sponsored my chicken when the prices got a bit out of hand. Mum’s shop is always great for getting shoe and bikini bling! AND she sells scrapbooking stuff so you can document your competition journey. I love my mum, I’m so NOT crafty and she always has my shoes blinged up in about 5 minutes, when it would take me about 5 hours of cursing and tantrums.

Michelle Nuku – Staff member extraordinaire.

Michelle is my 2IC at the gym I manage and she is just the most fantastic person ever. When I was having a meltdown, or forgetting stuff or just needed a hug somehow she would always just know what I needed and when I needed it. Of course we try not to take our ‘crap’ to work with us, but sometimes it gets on top of us. Keep an eye out for this young lady – She is also a fantastic trainer and is going to go very far in the industry.

Kaye O’Neil – Pro formance

I’d like to thank Kaye for my lats!! I struggled for a long time trying to fire them up, and Kaye sorted my technique out in just one session. I’ve been seeing Kaye for posing and consultations now for 2 years and I absolutely love her tough love approach – you need to have some mental toughness for this sport and I respect how she dealt with me as a newbie and helped me get my head straight about the sport.

Louisa & Andrew – http://www.andrewvanlent.co.nz

Thanks guys for the support and profile! What an awesome website this is already becoming, I’m proud to be one of those first athletes involved!

Pete Hunt

A fantastic physio and huge inspiration – I’ll be hitting you up for that glute program!

The nzbb forum!

The support and love around this site is fab!!

Red 8

Not a sponsor, but it was great this year to have a protein powder that didn’t a) bloat me, b) break me out in a crazy acne fest, c) give me an acidic bum 2 weeks out from comp.

Aww, thanks Stace!!

Stacey has made an amazing transformation over the years I have known her and I'm sure she's going to keep at it.

We had a great day and I was happy I could assist her with her tanning, hair & makeup for the comp.

Stace has a great presence on stage and I look forward to seeing her do t all again next season!
