What Cardio should I do when Im tired?

Hey guys.

Im still have 4 weeks of build phase till I go on a 8 week cut cycle. Not looking forward to all that Cardio!

At the moment Im doing 3 sessions of 20 minute HIIT on the treadmill and 1 or 2 40 minute runs a week to keep the Bodyfat in check for the time being.

My problem is I can generally only go to the gym once a day, usually 4 - 5.30. I generally combine the HIIT with the lower volume trains like shoulders or back days. But sometimes after my workout, I really cant be ducked going all out on the treadmill. Especially the day or two after my Leg trains!

There are a selection of spinbikes, steppers, rowers and those air walker things at my gym which I generally steer clear of. Does anyone have any recommendations on next best alternative to treadmill for HIIT?

Use a spin-bike, not a cardio bike, you can get a better range of body positions. You can move the emphasis around - from glutes/quads to hams - by changing position.

A Concept2 rower is also good - lets you really put some horsepower into it, and is a good all-body workout.

If you're bored, turn up the MP3 player, pick tunes with a fast tempo and good beat...and go for it!

I can turn my iPod up to the max but it doesnt take the tiredness out of my legs Gymrat. Perhaps its the music, maybe you should post me your recommended playlist for Cardio Gymrat

I will definately give the spinbike a go. Thanks Paul & TFB

Im also gonna suggest to the missus that it was also recommended more sex, or at least longer and more intense :pfft: Dont like my chances though haha
