Squats/Deadlifts/Benchpress

What about the "Lift and Carry" that the world's strongest men do? They try to run carrying some huge weight or boulder and throw it onto the back of a truck. I read somewhere it may be th best all round strength movement. Too much bloody hard work for me tho!

Not too many gyms have boulders and trucks. :) Spin bikes tend to take up all the room :)

If OB gets his way one day we might have a sand pit to play with our toys in.

Having those 3 in your training split would definitely give you a solid foundation

In that group I'd prolly chuck in a overhead press movement, a row of some sort, and pullups/chins is a goodie too.

Agreed with the chins P&W

My Top Five:

Power Snatch

Squat

Bench

Deadlift

Chin ups

Good luck with the goals

better start juicing now and in 10 years you might be there

Yes, but like in really, really big time.(couple of grams of test a week plus all the other goodies). Hope you have a good bank balance and excellent genetics. That is just being realistic and not sarcastic

But anyway: best of luck in your quest, hopefully you can one day make us all eat our words!!!!!!!

Take it to the MAX

I have competed in both Powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting and the snatch i found doesn't make you stronger as such. It is great for speed and explosion and a great all over body conditioner but the Squat, Bench and Deadlift are more strength/size builders.
