Hey there

I have been training on and off since I was 16 (now 43) and was member at Clive Greens in the city.

I moved gym to the shore about 12 years ago. I'm interested in bodybuliding for the "over 40's". I ususally train 3-4 times a week and try to work on different muscle groups. But I favour some parts more than others. Squawts ( ah!) I have trained with different guys and find that helps with variety.

Last Feb I decided to take a break and train for a marathon. I am doing the New York marathon Nov 2 this year! But I miss workin out with weights. Fortunately I am not a scrawney marathon runner and have actually put on weight rather than loose it!

Cheers

D.

Hi Maraman. Welcome to the forum. I love to do a bit of running as well and toyed with the idea of running a half marathon early next year. But at 103kg I have been advised this isnt the greatest idea. I will lose too much mass in training :(

What sort of weight will you be when you race?

Hey Soundsgood

Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah I was warned about loosing too much weight and muscle definition. But I have gone from 92kgs to 96.5kgs. As part of the marathon training I also do aqua-jogging, swiming and bike work. I still do weights for upper body and leg extentions too.

Cheers

D.
