uh-oh...I have now seen after visiting a supplement website that I need every product under the sun, and I should no longer eat food just shove various powders and pills down my throat haha!

Ok, so I'm gona go with the standard whey and creatine I rekon, but what about arginine (or arginine ethyl ester) ....

I very much enjoy "the pump" as does everyone, so to prolong that and increase muscle mass is what i'm aiming for...

You guys and girls are the experts, so whaddaya rekon? To Arginine or not to arginine? that is the question....

Basically I want the most potent way to increase vascularity, because I have the veins, but I cant can't quite get them to 'pop' ....

lose some bodyfat and your veins will "pop"

alternatively try a no product such as nitrix or the like, these contain arginine amongst other stuff

CellMass doesn't have Arginine in it - its mainly creatine, glutamine and carbs, so isn't going to effect your NO levels. Cellmass might be useful as a recovery product however there are better creatine products available if your goal is mass or strength gain.

Using high doses of arginine on it's own isn't such a good idea due to the fact that it's increasing nitric "oxide" levels which increases free radical damage. You need to use a good dose of antioxidants (Vit C, NAC, Vit E etc) with it to limit cell damage, which the "hyped up" formulas normally contain. I personally can't see much longterm benefit to using a pure NO booster without stacking it with some form of creatine.

NO+Creatine Products may be of benefit to someone with a good training history but shouldn't be the first thing to use if you haven't got a good base or haven't used a few cycles of pure creatine mono before.

Best choice Mark.

Weight gain is like driving a car.

Start in 1st gear (train hard)

2nd gear (eat lots)

3rd gear (protein supplements)

4th gear (training suppls ie Creatine, Nos etc)

I've met many a young guy (it's always young guys for some reason who think this way) who want to start off in 4th gear. What happens to your car if you do that.....it stalls!!!!!!!!

Noted...

I'm not young, i'm just a late bloomer haha! I think its just more the fact that I don't know anything about the process yknow...

But i'm definitely training hard (i'm sore!) and eating more (this was my biggest problem, I'm so afraid of putting on weight around the belly that I just chose to eat very little, this is changing)

I definitely need more protein, I want to put on weight, not fat, so i'm gona start taking the protein when it arrives

As for the supplements, blogging on here has taught me that training and diet are the most important things, and supplements just supplement them (i'm guessing thats where they got their name :pfft: )

But I am going to start taking the creatine when it comes as well, just because i'm having trouble with recovery and stuff, so i'd like something to 1. help with that and 2. build a bit of muscle at the same time

Again though, I wouldn't have come to these conclusions without helpful people such as yourself, so thank you :D
