Thermogenic Supplements??

Recommended Posts

I\'m looking for a suitable supplement to help kick my ass in the gym. I have previously used an ECA and Herbal supps with the active ingredient, Ma Huang in them with excellent results. Obviously you can\'t get these here anymore.

What do you guys use instead?

Any recommendations??

Stacker 2, these are the kick arse of all Themos by far, another good one which rocks is Zero Gs by Universal.

But what I like the best for a hrd cor work out , especialy legs is the Grenade Drink by Natures best, this drink is the bomb, I have only 1/2 a bottle though before training as it is realy strong and makes me to jittery if I have the whole thing, and i keep the other 1/2 for my next work out !!I wouldnt take it to late at night though as you aint ganna sleep to good!!

There is actualty alot of good thermos out there but these are the ones I have used of late and they are excellent, gotta try that drink though man!!

I've been taking L-tyrosine before gym and have been happy with the effects. It seems to aid my ability to focus and push my sets to the bitter end but it doesn't give an outright kick like most stimulants do. Having said that, I only use 1000mg at a time, some people I know have recommended using up to 3000mg before gym and have had very noticeable results.

I've also heard very good things recently about a product by Velocity called Rapid.

In addition to the L-tyrosine, I am using good old fashioned caffeine tablets, which seem to work as well for me as anything I've ever used except for the original version of Ultimate Orange, which was a truly amazing supplement.

Ultimate orange was a awesome product huh, it was desighned by the late Dan Duchane who was known as the steroid guru, whom actualy was Bill Phillips(eas) partner in there underground pharmacuticle company and also the co author of that great book The Phillips Steroid hand book!! The reason ultimate orange was so good is because it was loaded with ephedra, lots of it!!

Yep I know - back when it first came out, things like ephedra weren't really on anyone's radar as being potentially harmful. :o I am a lot more conservative now and I wouldn't take original Ultimate Orange even if it was available.

I guess I am lucky to be quite sensitive to caffeine, so a double espresso will do the job if I feel like, firing up my machine before gym - otherwise 1 or 2 No-Doze tabs are fine.

does anyone know where I can buy Synephrine ( sp ?) or is it Synechrine (?) .. basically orange peel extract ( am I correct ).

Wouldnt it be a lot more economical to construct a Synephrine, Caffeine, Aspirin, Green Tea extract stack as opposed to a brand named thermo ?

Yes I realize a lot less powerfull than an ECA stack but nothing wrong with making do with second best option.

hcdcor, Is the Stacker 2 the Ephedra Free formula? I assume that that is the only type you could get here? It annoys me that the ma haung ingredient has been banned from the Aus/NZ market and nothing I have used comes close to that for giving me focus and energy for my workouts.

I'll try your recommedations through, Cheers

For me ephedrine is the best am using it at the moment it is easy to get in china. Synephrine is what most supps in NZ replaced there ephedrine with, it does not agree with me and I spend a lot of time in the toilet :(

I do not think it is available separatly though.

Unfortunately both Ephedrine and Yohimbe are prescription only in NZ - you could go to your doctor and complain of asthma and erectile/libido difficulties and he may be obliging to help out though.

Good point grinder, hint:: do not try to import Effie into to NZ, as due to our P epedemic this substance is total a NoNo!! If you get caught you Will Be going to jail!!

Again, HrdCor good point. This is why alot of sources o/seas get busted. The start messing around in the rec drug scene and it brings heat on them from L.E. IMO AAS is pretty much UG in NZ so it's off the radar from the cops and media. If you do order stuff in from o/seas and it gets stopped at customs (as long as its not huge amounts) then it goes in the bin and nothing comes of it. As soon and you get into importing rec stuff like Eph and benzos etc, I bet my botton dollar that it will be looked at more seriously due to the fact that they will be asking why are you trying to import this and be more likely to investigate further.

Effie is used as a base compund in P isn't it? Wouldn't want the man to think I was involved in that game. Effie is more dangerous than gear to import at the mo...

No pseudoephedrine is the precursor used, although its possible to use ephedrine the cost would be considerably higher.

But thats cool do whatever you feel safe with

Ephedrine is also used - it's just harder to get than pseudo because it wasn't readily available to the public as cold medication. You can also use ma huang/ephedra however ephedrine (having already come out of a lab) results in a more pure meth as ma huang contains 3 ephedra alkaloids, as opposed to just one alkaloid in ephedrine.

Pseudo has become the most popular precursor as it "resembles" ephedrine in it's chemical structure yet, up until recently, it was much more commonly available. I would imagine that ephedrine would have been preferred to over the counter cough medicine as it would no doubt have been a lot cheaper and easier to use.

Party Pills typically contain BZP and TFMPP (benzylpiperizine and trifluoromethylphenylpiperazine) - a chemical equivalent to piper nigrum extract (black pepper extract). This differs somewhat to Bioperine which is often used in Thermos and vitamins to help improve absorption. Bioperine is also a black pepper extract - however it contains piperine, and is different to piperizine.

BZP and TFMPP are powerful central nervous system (CNS) stimulants and should not be used on a regular basis. They have become popular as party pills as they tend to work quite well for increasing energy. They also tend to suppress appetite quite a lot. NZ is the only country where they are legally available - Most (every?) countries have classified them similarly to other recreational drugs (methamphetamine etc).

They seem to have gained favour as a dieting aid due to their effect on the CNS, appetite suppressing effect and diuretic action. However these products have never been studied on a long term basis for regular daily use. They were originally developed to use in drug rehab clinics to help get people off harder, more addictive narcotics - studies have shown that at certain doses drug addicts have been unable to distinguish between BZP/TFMPP and methamphetamine and MDMA. The use of them on a daily basis should be avoided due to potential physical/mental addiction, damage to the CNS, damage to cardiac tissue etc.

Unfortunately the situation isn't helped by PT's and Nutritionists who now seem to be recommending them to clients to use for weight loss. Either this is due to a lack of education on their part, a lack of caring for the safety of their client in an effort to get the best results, or both. Nor is it helped when supposedly reputable supplement manufacturers (you know who you are) bring out a "fatloss" supplement with 60mg of BZP per serve. This is a complete and blatant disregard for customer health all in the pursuit of making money. This is currently available in a major health store chain, and I wager that the store people know nothing about the product, nor the potential time bomb of such a product used on a daily basis.

The (dancepill) product manufacturers didn't help this cause as the products were initially labelled "Dietary Supplement" which confused some people into thinking they could use them for dieting. Fortunately regulations are being tightened up regarding labelling, product quantities, and the types of stores that can stock them so they won't be quite so widely available.

Also of note for anybody that does use these for dieting is that BZP/TFMPP is now classified as a class D drug. Therefore if you are competing in any competitions or events you will return a positive test. Another issue that many people seem to be unaware of.
