I did see the news tonight and I was thinking Jonah would be a massive draw card in this sport and Jonah would do well. I agree as well very exciting stuff is right. :nod: :nod: .

Yeah he trains at my gym with one of our best PT's that happens to be an expereinced world BB competitor/multiple Mr NZ. Be very cool seeing his progress and seeing him compete with the big boys, exciting stuff :nod:

I was wondeing about that was when heard on the news last night with Lomu switching to bodybuilding. I am wondering if that will increase the drug testing in this sport.

Correct. Professional rugby and pro-bodybuilding are at different ends of the "whats socially acceptable scale" when it comes to drug use (Drug use in our pro divisions is discouraged but essential to making any impact outside of the natural federations). Why would anyone like Lomu choose to compete in a sport and not aim to conquer it? Any associated scandal would tarnish his brand.

Good on him for giving it a "go"...I doubt it will be as easy as he seems to think it is going to be. I laughed at the whole idea of it to be honest lol...

I don't quite think he is 155kgs at the moment he looks more around 135kgs, I think the article said that was him in his prime, correct me if I'm wrong? He doesn't look massive at the mo as he is very tall so he has a hard slog ahead as does anyone getting into the sport, but I think he can pull it off nicely, he's got the awesome genetics there and it won't take him long to back his size.

I'm not surprised Jonah is considering bodybuilding ... his very good mate (Grant Kereama) has probably had a very persuasive word in this ear. They are obviously sharing the same trainer, so it will interesting to see how this progresses! Jonah was at various NZFBB events to support Grant when he competed in 2005 and 2006 - hopefully they will both be competing next year?!

I can't see it happening for long to be honest think about it, there is no money in amature BBing so why would a guy like that bother? The other point is if he thinks he is going to be a pro well I jut dought you will see him putting all of those compounds in his ass with only one kindey, not to mention the diets he will need to do etc, I hope I'm wrong but I just can't see it working.
