Immediate thoughts,

Have some protein before your early morning run, even if just 20g, your body will thank you for it, haven't read much around this as don't do morning runs on an empty stomach but I understand it should prevent muscle breakdown somewhat and not be used as a fuel. Somebody might be able to provide some insight for us?

Try to have another 100g of veges sometime during the day; rather than just at dinner.

I don't know if your PWO reactiv protein has simple sugars in it, but you should add 35g simple sugars into your PWO shake.

Add in some Vitamin C PWO and a Multivitamin too- good antioxidants and source of watersoluble vitamins that you're more likely to be lacking in due to + exercise and + water intake!

Drink 4L water a day, more if your a bigger boy!

What is your weight and aprox body fat? As with the other thread I would up the protein a bit (unless your under say 65kg) otherwise looks ok. Laver I prefer to do my morning cardio on an empty stomach, and yes protein will be used as energy, where you really want to be burinng fat only, unless of course you are doing early morning HIIT for cardio then some protein is needed IMO.

Andy,

Knew I had heard about it somewhere, would be from reading over HIIT stuff, cheers,

Considering that though, (not applying to this case) if your only having say WPC protein before bed, would it be agreed early morning cardio on empty stomach is a bad idea, you've already lacked protein for the last 5hours!

Not if it's low intensity i.e. incline walking, if anything maby some bcaa's and Glutamine pre cardio but idealy nothing containing calories. Unless your in a building phase then the primary goal is to maximize anabolism and increase metabolism, in which case some protein in water is probably a good thing before am cardio.

hey bro welcome aboard. it's good to see the work you have already put on your diet. the only advice i can throw is to put some carbs for your first meal. raise the metab after your work out and keeping it high. Apart from that hit the cardio hard and keep us in th eloop

  • 2 weeks later...

Isn't anyone else concerned with the lack of carbs in this diet ??

You are getting 213g of protein a day, I guesstimate another 50g of fat from the almonds and cooking process of the chicken etc . . . .

That leaves you with 1300 calories ???

I would aim for minimum 1900 calories for a persona at your body weight... 83kg.

And I think you are going to find if you add in carbs to make up for those calories, your strenght levels are going to shoot up... how the hell do you manage any weight workouts with vitually no energy ??

I could probably do it for a week or two if i was on enough thermo's to be amped up but would loose it after in terms of working out....

I can't see anything wrong with adding in some carbs during the first 3 meals of the day instead of those fruits.

Anyone else care to chime in?

i dont know if the veges are enough, but you must be close to constipated ?

My 2 cents bro.. I am trying to loose weight as well...

Yes. Get some oats and brown rice in there?

As for the "more protein" call. Are you serious? Need to know the poster's weight first but it's pointless aiming for any more than 2gm/kg of body weight per day.

Sometimes I wonder if 90% of people on here are so heavily on the 'roids it's made them completely delusional!
